[history]
It was the ceremonial American flag, rather than the signature bright rainbow-colored flag, that led the annual Gay Pride Parade and Festival Saturday.
And that change said it all.
"In the wake of the tragedy in New York and Washington we felt it should be the American flag, instead of the traditional Gay Pride flag, that should lead this year's parade," said Jason Benoit, a Rocky Hill resident and member of the festival committee. "After all, we are all Americans first."

These are the same people who are decimating their own community by their perversions and now think it is patriotic to fly Our Flag to support pacifism. Yikes!

I give the perverts credit for a little bit of patriotism this time. This may be a first-- raising money for real heros instead of to promote their political agenda.
The Bill of Rights applies to perverts as well-- so long as they do their thing in private.

This is a "one time blessing," then? Next week they'll be out with their rainbow flags, promoting their disordered lifestyle to my kids ... let them keep their money and use it for psych counseling.

While many discussed the country's pending military retaliation and the effects of such a war, others made an impassioned plea for peace. And of course, reporter goes on to interview the latter but not the former (Balance? What's that?) Even a gay pride march is more patriotic than your average reporter.

"Balance? What's that?"NN, this is the Hartford Courant ... balance never occurs to them ... AAMOF, either does nonpartisanship, unpredjuice, and decency.

In that case, I suspect the little tykes have been getting an eyeful on this forum.

"Punishment, revenge and retaliation won't take away the pain and won't prevent more terrorist attacks," she said. "Instead let us pray for all people who have suffered from this attack on our country. Let us also pray for those who have masterminded it, and for those who support them, that they may come to understand the futility of the path of war."This is one of the most intellectually deficient statements I have ever read.

In that case, I suspect the little tykes have been getting an eyeful on this forum. This is not exactly the place I would have bookmarked for my 7 year old.

To be sure ... there's a gay out there who has his eye on your 7 yo.

"This is not exactly the place I would have bookmarked for my 7 year old."
Good call.
To: 2Trievers
I'm sure there are all sorts of folks who might have their eye on my 7 year old and not all of them are gay.

ROFL...good one!

For the uninitiated, the Hartford Courant is a worthless. liberal rag.
In her prayer, Zemos suggested that a national Department of Peace be established and that it be charged with spearheading nonmilitary, peaceful conflict resolutions.
We tried that with the United Nations...didn't work then, either.
Someone should tell these folks that radical Islamic terrorists don't respond to 'peaceful conflict resolutions'. They do not want us to talk, they want us to die. We will stop them from killing us.
They will die. Any questions?
To: Jim Scott
Department of Peace? LOL!

The thing I abhor about the lifetsyle of which I speak, is that it can be varnished by the good intentions of which this author speaks. And this paper continually miscolors reality.
