AAL BEFORE STRIKE?
Unknown ^ | Unknown | Unknown

Posted on 09/24/2001 11:46:07 AM PDT by Dick Bachert

This just came to be from an investigative journalist friend who also received it anonymously. It MAY be a TOTAL HOAX. It allegedly came from a camera found at the site and the images processed.

I post it ONLY to get input from those more familiar with the orientation of the first tower struck who would be in a better position to comment on its POSSIBLE authenticity.

Thoughts:

IF legitimate, it HAD to be of the FIRST STRIKE as I doubt anyone would have lingered in such a relaxed manner AFTER the first strike. Was the WTC observation deck even OPEN at the time of the attack?

The markings ARE those of AAL.

The shadows indicate that the aircraft shown is approaching from a westerly direction, into the sun at that time of day.

Could someone more familiar with the skyline of Manhattan comment?

Shadows on the engine intakes to not match the shadows in the city.

The first tower hit was the tower with the TV antennas on the roof. I don't think this was the same tower that had the observation deck. Plus, I think the first plane came in from the East, didn't it?

Yeah, on closer inspection, that APPEARS to be the case. Upper engine cowling casting shadows on LOWER cowling. Inconsistent with sun ahead and slightly above.

And you only have an inside window view in the WTC, not like the Empire State where you are actually outside.

WEll, I used to fuel these big bad boys once upon a time in a previous life, and when they back out and fire up.....they are LOUD.

There is no way this guy would not be looking at the plane if it was that close to him.

A hox, and not even a well-thought out hoax.

It's a hoax. Look at the shadow on the man's right side of his face. It begins immediately from his nose to the face's right side. Almost the entire ride side of the face is in shadow.

Now, look at the starboard wing, paying particular attention to the wing root. The entire leading edge of that wing is sunlit all the way to the fuselage. There is no shadow at all on the wing's leading edge next to the fuselage, indicating the sun was directly in front of the airplane, not to the man's left as it is with this photograph.

My guess is that this shot was taken from an AAL publicity picture, which, for drama's sake, are taken from above so as to accentuate the Earth below.

Is that even New York City? That would have to be lookink north with the Hudson River to the left and New Jersey (palisades?) beyond that. Looking due north, there should be some much larger builudings near the river. There is, at least, a 20-30 story red brick apartment building at about 23rd street.

And the plane is perfectly in focus, odd for something traveling 300-600 mph (how fast was it)? Looks like NYC to me, I can't think of another city that huge.
