PLEASE spread the word of this petition to all you know.
Let it be forever remembered that in the first engagement following the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, American citizens denied the enemy a fourth victory by sacrificing their own lives that others might live in liberty."
Such an inscription would be followed by those names of the individuals known to have participated in the attack on the terrorists, and then followed by the names of all passengers and crew aboard Flight 93.
A complete transcript of the phone calls, an overview of the entire day's horrific activities, and a review of the potential targets as stated by the terrorists aboard Flight 93 and the likely impact had these Americans not acted should all be included in a visitors center.
The crash site itself should be hallowed and set up with beches, and covered sites for people to reflect as they walk around or visit the site. The story of each citizen attacker could be interspersed along a walk way around the site. Camping could also be made available.
I believe we as Americans must ALWAYS remember the price of liberty. It is activisim, it is involvement, it is vigilance, it is study and it is most definitely morality (for without morality, our liberty really means nothing) ... but when it comes right down to it, when the tyrant and oppressor strike ... it is blood. The blood of patriots and tyrants, and a willingness to spill that blood at the awful moment. This is what purchases liberty.

Stay well - Stay safe - stay armed - Yorktown
I have received emails from people who knew them.
There is NO doubt that a number of passengers, from five to seven or more, fought the terrorists. The cockpit recording is quoted as follows as the passengers entered ...
"Get out of here. Get out of here." .. Then grunting, screaming and scuffling. Then silence.
I hope that the full sound file (wave) of the cockpit recording is released sometime.
There are other things that could have brought the plane down. The pilot could have cut over to auxillary fuel, which the terrorist may not have been trained enough to notice, which means the plane would crash sooner. The US Air force was tracking the plane ... it could have brought it down, though the method the plane crashed tends to discount this.
I believe the passengers had the biggest hand in it from all I have read. I believe it is likely that the terrorist pilot, when he saw that he was going to loose control of the aircraft, nosed it into the ground ... or he could have pointed it that way and it was too late to recover if the passengers got their hands on the controls.
Either way, the passengers took action and at the very least contributed to keeping that aircraft away from another target. For that, they deserve the monument IMHO.
Please pass the word on this.
