Not surprising when one looks at how Bin Laden obssesses on certain targets. The bombing of the WTC didn't work and he made it a target again on the 11th. Seems he couldn't get it out of his head. The millenium bombers caught in the northwest were planning to target LAX. I suppose we can assume that the Space Needle in Seattle will be retargeted also.

Report: L.A. Target For Terror

Up until a few years ago, I lived in the Park West Apartments facing the runway on the backside of LAX airport off Lincoln Blvd. The runway was not even 150 yards away. Every time I see video of LAX on the tube or in a movie, I can almost always see my old residence.

If I still lived there in these days, let's just say that I'd be 'on patrol' 24/7.

I tend to agree....and apparently so does someone else. You cannot get within five miles of the USS Cole now. It was launched back into the water 'early' due to security concerns and all ceremonies for the relaunching event was cancelled. I live in the area where the USS Cole is being repaired.
