The New York Times
Sorry it's the liberal Times, but their home page has DoD pictures of the bombing of an Afghan terrorist camp. They aren't the same exact alignment, so use the natural feature in the top left corner of the first to get your POV for the second.
Most impressive to me is the large hole that now exists where the central large building used to be.

Not even an outhouse left standing. The destruction of that country club is pretty much total.

These appear to be pictures of two different areas. Roger that. I couldn't resolve any common features in the two pictures.

That was MY first thought as well. I suppose if you think about it, with all the bombing and destruction, that WOULD be a different area! LOL! Seriously, though. Makes you wonder about the possibility of US military propaganda? I don't think so. Why? We know they've been bombing the Poop out of the place for over two days. . .

Na, just imagine the bottom pic rotated clockwise about 35 degrees. And, it's from a bit higher altitude. Key in on that dark area at about 9 o'clock on the picture Looks like a road or runway or something.

Holy Smokes.....must be using the new "moon" bombs.....drop them and the place looks like the surface of the moon!! Great post

...different areas Rotate the lower picture clockwise 90 degrees.
To: theoutsideman
Same area; lower photo is rotated 90 degrees clockwise and taken from further away or at lower magnification so the area shown in lower photo is more than shown in the above before photo.

Look again. Look for the road on the left side of each picture that ends in a small loop. It shows up on both pictures. Most of the "buildings" in the first photo are actually tents. Now, they are dust. Hopefully they were full of skinny little terrorists.

These appear to be pictures of two different areas.Initially that's what I thought, because the view angle is quite different. But it's the same place. On the left side of the top picture (Pre-strike), there is a straight row of buildings next to a dark, vaguely eye-shaped with a tail ground feature. The same area is visible on the left side of the post-strike picture, but the view angle is oblique rather than nearly straight overhead. Once you use that feature to establish a frame of reference, you can see where the major hits were. Apparently cruise missiles and laser-guided bombs hit what they're aimed at with high success.
Now if intel could just tell us which little cave OBL is sleeping in, I think DoD forces could put a cruise missile into his sleeping bag.
