Is there such a thing as a FReeper Glossary. Being a relatively new FReeper, I am at a loss for some terms used in responses. For example 'ping', 'bump', 'bttt' and the source of the phrase ALL YOUR 'whatever' ARE BELONG TO US. Thanx for any help...
I like the sound of that. Mind if I steal it?
I like cheese.
A moose once bit my sister. I told her she "Better put some ice on that."
But, she was wearing a Tinfoil hat in her black helicopter.
Then, she drank the Koolaid, but forgot the Barf Alert.
FRegards.
BTTT!
My first image post in the "forum"!
Did you know that a Kiwi is a fruit, a flightless bird, and a brand of shoe polish?
(I KNOW my shineola)
ALL threads belong as "Breaking News". The title must be in ALL CAPS with numerous "!!!!!!"s after it. If the headline is not sensational or hysterical enough, spice it up a little. Be sure NEVER to search to see if anyone else had posted this before you. If YOU took the time to post it, it MUST be important to everyone else so make sure to call as much attention to it as possible.
On the other hand, if it really is *news*, post it under "Front Page" where most of the actual news is found.
"All your base are belong to us" is the checkmate line from a Japanese-manufactured arcade computer game, an example of wretched translation into English which someone found amusing.
No, seriously, welcome to Free Republic. I believe the Official Link was included in another reply. It's fun reading!
Welcome duckman.
CD....LOL
Hey, EVERYONE who ever has had to assemble something that comes with these miserably-translated Japanese or Chinese instruction sheets found "ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US" hysterical!
I once put together a radio-controlled racecar for my son the night before Christmas, figuring that it would take an hour or so. Thanks to the instruction book (28 pages of, mainly, gibberish) it took me ALL NIGHT!

A is for A$$holery and it is used to describe all things liberal.
Integrable Differenzengeometrie
Integrable Diskretisierungen integrabler Systeme
(That's one of my personal favorites, I must say, he he he :-)Integrable Diskretisierungen integrabler Systeme
Quantisierte diskrete integrable Systeme
Well, there you have it! Once you know this by heart, you'll have nothing but fun and stimulating conversation around good 'ol FR!
Welcome.
