    My friend Maj. Eric Egland is a contributing author to Blog of War: Front Line Dispatches from Iraq and Afghanistan, a newly-released anthology of stories from military members and their families published by Simon & Shuster. Eric did tours in both countries. He and his wife Ania were on CNN twice last week talking about the book and about how media coverage of Iraq and Afghanistan bears little resemblance to reality on the ground. They did a terrific job making their case. I suspect we'll be hearing more from Eric in the future...
