I was there also and I agree with your observation. I could tell there were some people going in by the cheering at the west side of the Capitol. But 699,900 of the 700,000 were just mulling around outside of the grounds. It felt anticlimactic at the Capitol after the big rally, Trump’s speech, and the march to the Capitol. Plus, it had already been a pretty long day and the cold weather was wearing people down.
