I watched Saturday Night Live (4/20) with Alec Baldwin last night and expected the worst. But folks, they skewered Gore, Rivera, academia, the French, trophy wives/elderly black women, and Liza Minnelli/Gays. The only conservative icon touched was Fox News and that was all about Robert Blake. If only I could understand the musical guest!

Okay, yes I listen to NPR - call it opposition research. This morning they ran a story on the wheels coming off Michael Bellesilies' book Arming America: The Origins of a National Gun Culture. Bellesilies was treated to a three to four minute spanking on NPR’s Morning Edition today – 3/4/2002. In general his book and the research supporting it cannot stand up to academic peer review. Last nights opening for SNL was classic parody and a complete slap at the inane Washington Press Corp. The skit was a Rumsfeld Defense Department press conference where he criticizes the questions, the reporters' intelligence, and generally intimidates the bat squeeze out of them.
