After several nights of violent rioting over the death of George Floyd in police custody, the release of preliminary findings from the medical examiner's autopsy will likely not ease the nationwide tensions.The findings were included in the charges made Friday against Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer who arrested Floyd and kneeled on his neck before he died Monday evening. "The autopsy revealed no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation," read the summary of the findings from the the Hennepin County medical examiner.

Police identified the man they say fatally stabbed his girlfriend in front of children, also injuring the woman’s 14-year-old son, in their Olney home Christmas morning. Josue Quino was arrested Wednesday at about 3:25 a.m. and charged with murder, attempted murder, terroristic threats, aggravated assault, simple assault, corruption of minors, endangering welfare of children, recklessly endangering another person and possessing instruments of crime. There was no attorney listed in online court records for Quino.

Police say 49 people were arrested inside Heinz field during the concert, with another 24 arrests taking place near the venue on the North Shore. A Wisconsin man, who along with his three friends is suspected of illegally slaughtering as many as 100 deer in what prosecutors call an unprecedented "thrill-kill" spree, faces up to six months in jail.
