But the loony-left is testy with Gibson for spending so much time on Jesus' suffering and death while giving "short shrift to Jesus' ministry and ideas" as another Times reviewer put it.
That is really the LAST thing Hollywood and the libs would want or let go unprotested. Then it wouldn't be the hew and cry of "anti-semitism" but howls of "the hateful, vicious right trying to force their morality on the rest of us." Just try making anything "acceptable" from any scripture that deals with righteous living and stand back for the catfights that will follow.

Some critics found opportunity in the situation to make sarcastic remarks about Maines's weight. Historians also must figure out why, in a country where 21 percent of the adults are obese and 37 percent are overweight, it's still OK to make fat jokes about someone you don't agree with.
Of course the left has never been known to mock the appearance of those with whom they disagree. (See Linda Tripp, Katherine Harris, Jennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, etc.)
I completely understand your quandry. Sadly, he supports Amnesty International and recently stated he supports a regime change in Iraq but also here too.

I am 100% percent behind our President and our troops, but I am not behind a blind belief that it is impossible that innocents can and will be harmed. I only pray to God that their injuries will leave them as active as this poor child obviously is!
And the hyennas of the press would be ashamed of themselves - if they were capable.
