I am also upset with my 7th grade sons reading teacher. They were discussing "cause and effect" of 9/11 and my son tells me that some of the causes put on the board was, religion, terrorists, Gulf war, and then his teacher, not a student, but the teacher put on the board PRESISENT BUSH. My son asked why and she said "i have heard some people say that he knew it was going to happen and didn't do anything about it". my son pointed out that Clinton didn't do anything either and he was in office longer and other bombings had been done by bin laden and he didn't do anything either and she told him that she didn't want to get into a debate about it. I am emailing her, but am trying to calm down first.

Any suggestions on what to say?

YES I JUST SAW THIS ON MY LOCAL NEWS CAST AS "LATE BREAKING NEWS" THAT HE HAD JUST BEEN ARRESTED WITH MORE DETAILS TO COME LATER.

Because of time constraints i haven't tuned into freerepublic in days or so but after seeing susan estrich tonight on H/C I just had to log on to see if this was something that i was behind on or what! Face-lift, botox, she washed her hair and had it done by a professional and she put make-up on. wow who told her she was looking like crap these days?

My husband didn't know who she was until she opened her mouth and then did he realize who she was. hahaha

IMHO, you should update your security system to avoid VIRUS's and also maybe add a SPYWARE thingy to protect your computer.

From my name you can tell I married into an ITALIAN family that knows thier "GRAVY" When my mother-in-law could not make her own Gravy, due to time constraints then she swore by RAGU TRADITIONAL as being the next best thing. Of course she added a little more garlic, olive oil etc.... but she ALWAYS had a jar of RAGU TRADITIONAL on hand....just in case.

So now I also do the same cuz we all know, ITALIAN MOMS/MOTHER IN LAWS know BEST.....!!!!

And then there's Jim Adler. True story, recently we were involved in a slight car accident. When my little daughter found out, she got so excited because she thought Jim Adler was going to get us a lot of money.

Thank you soooo much for sharing this. I to believe that because of the AMERICAN SPIRIT, that this too shall overcome. We are a great nation despite what the MSM and race baiters say. We will reach out and help and do what we can. We have seen that in other natural disasters, the men in uniform serving our country All over the world and in Iraq, 9-11 and this. We are a great country and it really irks me to hear the likes of Jesse Jackson and others try and divide us. I only hope that what I saw of all Americans during this crisis that they saw the evacuees saw the same thing I did.

Do you still think San Antonio's a small town?

It really is, but in a different way. I was born and raised here and I have seen the growth, but it is a big city with a small town atmosphere in sooo many ways. My husband and I both graduated from the same high school, Thomas Jefferson High, which is a historical landmark. My kids can not get over how we run into people all over town no matter where we are, that we graduated with or that we have grown to know in our adult years.

I can not imagine living anywhere else since both sides of the family also still live here. Plus with a class act like the SAN ANTONIO SPURS, ssssshhhheeeshhh, we got it all. haha

Did you see how excited Manu was, he reminded me of a little kid. He was soooo happy and he didn't mind showing it. I saw him jumping up and down at one time. He is the cutest guy and he is a hustler. He plays hard and with soooo much conviction. You gotta love him.

I don't mean to sound petty, but Duncan looks like such a thoughtful man that I expected something more diplomatic, even if not Solomonic.

It is not the easiest thing to do in such a short time. I think he did great. He is a classy guy and living in this city I know the love he has for it, the community and the fans. His wife is due with their first child any day now.

What is that huge tower we went up in San Antonio near where the Spurs play?

That is the Tower of Americas, on that site is where the 1968 Worlds Fair was held. It has a restraunt at the top and rotates very very slowly. It is closed now for renovation and Landrys will be going in once it opens. I am ashamed that my kids have never been up there, but now that Landrys is going in we will take them.

The Spurs now have their own Arena, the SBC center and it is a located a little east of that area. The AlamoDome is what you are thinking of and they did play there for awhile. That was then, Mayor Henry Cisneros pet project that I personally didn't vote for. But that is another thread. haha

When he played with the Spurs, although he was good San Antonio just didn't accept his antics and the team with David Robinson the leader of course it was a mix-match. We got to the point we just wanted him to leave despite what he did on the court.

Tim is awesome, have you ever heard his BIO. unbelievable how he got started in basketball so late in life, just like David Robinson.

And Bowen, what a tragic young life he lived and overcame. WOW. I never knew that about him.
