If you have ever been around a college, you might notice that suicides are never covered in the news. Around colleges, it is most noticeable because there are invariably one or two you will hear about by word of mouth, but not otherwise. This is true for society at large as well. George Bush signed concealed carry legislation in Texas. Some see this as a great step forward against gun control, I am not so convinced. I think the law is pitiful, although in fairness it is probably a lot easier to clean up a bad law than to pass a good law. That is just the nature of politics.
