The judge’s said that there’s an appearance of impropriety but no impropriety was proved. Therefore, his ruling was, in effect, that it was enough to put an end to that appearance GOING FORWARD.
This is logical gibberish.
But he’ll almost certainly pay no price for it so I guess it’s fine. /extreme sarcasm

To make progress toward AGI they would have to be working on something completely different from ChatGPT. I think this is just bait for the next round of fund raising.

It’s amazing how these people always find exactly what they expected to find. It’s almost as if they think that smart people will be exactly like them.

Exactly. A new rule will be made to punish people who file “frivolous” complaints, with the definition of frivolous left up to the discretion of people who hate Christians and conservatives.

In short, the speakers at the event had no interest in its alleged purpose. It was just an excuse to make speeches about whatever talking points happened to catch their attention this week.

When I first heard of this, I thought that Baldwin would have to live with the guilt of his careless action forever. I almost felt sympathy for him.
Every single thing he has done since then seems calculated to give the perception that he’s a self-absorbed swine who doesn’t deserve even the tiniest hint of sympathy or leniency.
Hopefully he’ll do prison time as well as losing all the lawsuits.
