I read that maybe today, and thought of those stats when I read the article.
People put on weight during the Covid shutdowns.
I’m not going on the weight loss drugs, but I am trying to lose weight. I’m trying to cook at home more to know exactly what I’m eating and to not eat as much.
Go to the Arboretum and drive around White Rock Lake.
Northpark is one of the first malls, and it is still beautiful to walk around. I like going to grab break fast at Le Madeline or Corner bakery and walking to see the ducks and turtles in front of Niemans.
Both of my daughters lost their jobs. Can’t even get interviews. They have degrees in computer science and the other a master’s in data analytics.
They are both thinking of going back to school to get out of tech. One is thinking of becoming an audiologist. The other is thinking some sort of healthcare tech.
I used to live in San Jose. The last time I was in San Francisco, they were everywhere. Supposedly, it’s worse now.
I remember when my kids were little and there was a field trip in San Francisco. We stopped at a playground, and there were homeless on the outside of the gated playground.
I expected my mom’s to be torn down, but the couple that bought it live antiques and vintage, and they are going to update it and try to keep its charm.
We just closed on my mom’s house in a little over a week ago. It was vacant since May.
I hate that I had to sell my childhood home, but I worried while it was vacant. I don’t think I could handle renting it out as a short or long term rental.
The first doctor my husband saw advised radiation therapy. We saw a radiologist who actually advised against it because my husband was 50 and would have long term effects (even another form of cancer).
My husband had surgery over 10 years ago and has done well!
