Before I even knew what a "meme" was, I remember discovering the most incredible ones and knowing exactly who crafted them. Since then, many of their names have escaped me in the span of time. As I reflect on over 20 years since joining FR, I'm reminded of members who are no longer with us (due to bans or departures) but whose art shaped much of our common history. Calling all our long-standing members! Do any of you recall specific names or have memorable examples from our community's golden era, spanning from the late 1990s to 2010? Share your stories...

A group of black pastors has started a petition to urge Congress to censure Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., over his remarks about two Supreme Court justices last week. Schumer has been under fire from Republicans and some Democrats for comments aimed at conservative Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh during a pro-choice rally that many perceived to be threats. "Those remarks, made during a rally at the Supreme Court on a pending case, were clearly intended to influence the decision on that case," a petition from the Coalition of African American Pastors addressed to Senate Majority Leader Mitch...

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Governor Mary Fallin announced on cable news Thursday night that Oklahoma will file a lawsuit against the new healthcare law. Instead of joining some two dozen states in their lawsuit, Oklahoma will sue on the grounds that the federal healthcare law violates the new constitutional amendment just approved by Oklahoma voters. State Question 756 changed Oklahoma's constitution to say Oklahomans can't be required to participate in any healthcare system. Fallin made the announcement on "On the Record with Greta Van Susteren" on Fox News.

A Republican state legislator released documents Tuesday which he says show the community-organizing group ACORN focused on helping Democrats in three legislative races in the November 2008 election and had developed a game plan to "take power” in Oklahoma within five years. "They say they’re not political, but one of the subdirectories was called political action plans,” Reynolds said. "It was their political plans to take over key targeted races in Oklahoma City to show how powerful they are.” One of the key legislative races mentioned in the documents was the Senate District 43 race involving Reynolds’ brother. State Sen....

Spokesman suggests Obama better get his facts straight A Wednesday night presidential debate claim by Barack Obama has stirred up car dealers in Oklahoma City who dispute his claim that car dealerships are closing everywhere and people cannot get car loans. "I was surprised to hear it," admitted Peter Hodges, Executive Director of the Oklahoma City Metro Auto Dealers Association. "The facts of the matter are, about 500 dealerships out of 20,000 could close this year because of economic conditions." But what angered Hodges was Obama's claim that car loans are not available. "That's completely untrue," professed Hodges. "And I...

Sleaze. Corruption. Breaking the law. And no agenda for the American people. The ethical hypocrisy of today's Democrats knows no bounds. While a discredited partisan hack pushes trumped-up charges against Tom DeLay, the Pelosi/Dean Democrats have become a Caucus of Corruption -- name an ethics violation, and they're guilty of it. NoAgenda.org exposes the wrongdoings of more than 50 Democrats who are under an ethical cloud. Learn more about who's doing it and what they're doing.

    MESSAGE FROM AMBASSADOR KEYES
"This election is about deciding whether or not this republic, this system of self-government, is going to survive. One of the dangers to our liberty is that elections are being replaced by a system in which money and media will dominate rather than the votes of the people. If we stand back and permit such a system ultimately to determine electoral outcomes, then the republic is already dead, and we are already disenfranchised." Alan Keyes - From MESSAGE FROM AMBASSADOR KEYES
