Rand Paul would be good for Speaker. Trump should push this, they might not see eye-to-eye, but I think Paul would shake up the Senate more than any other replacement. It'd be a good play for Libertarian votes as well.
Who in house to replace Johnson?
Paxton for AG?
Abbott for DHS?
Vivek as ambassador to the Vatican or maybe Antarctica.
VP? Maybe Sanders. I suspect, though not supporting, I think Gabbard is still likely.
If he does any of those, Trump has the urgency behind and appeals, such as the Supreme Court. If he just gives him a slap, probation, and similar, no urgency. If the judge wants to prolong his conviction before it is overturned, giving the Democrats more mileage, he’ll choose the latter. I don’t think it will help much as it is already backfiring. The gag order is the problem, either ending it or saying enough, and ignoring it.
Not just awkward, what are the legal implications to (1) change candidate after nomination confirmed, (2) after state deadlines pass and ballots printed, and, (3) most importantly, once voting starts. In the latter Democrats may rue the day the pushed early voting as once a vote is cast for Biden, it is for Biden, not Harris or any successor. Am I correct in this or is there laws and all to handle all of this?
What happens if he doesn't make it to the convention? Harris & Newsome? And what if later once voting starts, constitutionally and by law what happens between the first vote and election day?

I have never understood why unaccompanied minors were not turned back over to the Mexican government to address, because they came from Mexico. Not our problem.
