I thought Nigerian-Americans had edged the Indians out, although there are fewer Nigerians. I’m going to suggest that education and hard work are the key.
Sally’s punk wedding has been survived. I’ll send you some snaps tomorrow. I have to get up early - which I would do anyway - and go pick up Alice from Norman, OK, Sally’s godmother, and take her to the airport. I should be home by 7:00 a.m. I’ll also take Vlad over to Sally’s, because he’s going to be cat-sitting and probably also taking Elen and Priscilla to the airport later in the day.
There was no wine at the punk club, so I drank Diet Coke.
Good morning. It’s cloudy and warmer here. The weather guessers says maybe a little rain during the day, but it won’t be hot. We loaned the youth all our camping rain shelters.
The event yesterday was nice. Sally and Dallas look really normal compared to a lot of their friends. His parents are a couple of years younger than I am, and they have the same, “The world went crazy on us,” affect.
We’ll to Mass this morning at 9:00, and we’re supposed to be at the venue at 1:30. Maybe there’s time for a nap in there, although I went to be around the time the fireworks started. That was from the town festival over at the park.
Vlad has decided he doesn’t want to go, which is fine. James is at work at a town event all day, maybe until midnight, and having Vlad here reduces the chance of Frank/Kathleen turmoil. Maybe they can all walk over to the park for the town event. I’ll give them money.
Good morning. I’ve been for a walk. I suppose I should take a shower next. DP and Vlad and I are going to a late lunch/early dinner at Dallas’s parents’ house. I’m not sure why Sally and Dallas felt like they had to have so many events, but whatever. It will be all over tomorrow evening.
