  • Victoria Nuland calls for U.S. to bomb Russian targets within Russia [Video]

I never voted for Macron because he started as a peace-dove, and he was pro-Putin for a long time.

However, since about 6 months now he has finally understood that it’s impossible to have a dialog with the neo-soviets in the Kremlin. Thus, he has reversed his stance on Putin 180 degrees.

Thus, I evidently support Macron’s new stance that Europe must be protected from Russian military invasion. All political parties in France support him on that point, except the far left. The far left in France is pro Kremlin, anti-Israel and thus pro Iran.

Russia has burned through almost half of the liquid reserves in its national wealth fund as it bleeds money amid the war in Ukraine

Exactly, you were smart on this one. You didn’t jump to conclusions.
The “gullible” comment I made was addressed to those who started insulting France as being a nazi-sympathizer, and other insults... All of that based on an absolute false and pure disinformation. My “gullible” response was the very least I could say - it’s nothing compared to the baseless and beyond the scale insults against France I read on the thread.

My post said “many” not all of the posters on that thread. Thus, there was no reason for you take it personally. I coped my comment to the non-gullible as well simply because I wanted them to stay informed concerning France’s official and true statement.

There can be only one state. There can be only one.
A two-state-solution would be like accepting the annexation of a part of Israel by radical islamic forces. That second state would be governed by Hamas.
That would evidently be a lose-lose situation for the civilized world.

Previously in this thread I warned many of you BTHP’s (blinded trigger-happy people) to “not jump to conclusions” and blindly believe the disinformation journalists are pushing down your throats.

France NEVER uttered a word about Netanyahu. They only said that they support the ICC in general, since France is a member of it.
But France clearly criticized the ICC’s statement saying there was “an equivalence between Hamas and Israel”.

So here is the proof I was right in warning you to not be gullible and wait for the real facts before judging...
At least next time you will think twice before spreading journalistic idiocy and lazy copy-and paste narratives.

The American frog awakened the gullible lambs here, simply by reading the news with seriousness and precision. Never jump to a conclusion when a journalist tells you to “jump!”.

France had lost the war. Germany won.
Thats why Germany simply applied its anti-jewish policies in France. France had zero possibilities to say no. How could it? France was basically run directly by Berlin.

Italy was never attacked nor occupied by Germany, thus Italy could preserve its political autonomy. Its a huge difference.

The Macron Government (which I am not supporting) stated it supports the ICC organization in general, nothing else. Unlike America, France is a member of the ICC.
It said nothing about whether it would push the case further against Netanyahu. As well, it said nothing about the three Hamas leaders being targeted by the ICC.
France has always been proactive in anti-terrorism efforts.

Nevertheless, I would have prefered a clear statement by France where they explain their sentiment about those 3 Hamas terrorists and also their stance concerning President Netanyahu.

Let’s wait and see before rushing to conclusions.

The Founding Fathers were impregnated by the French Enlightenment. It’s common knowledge. In parts it guided their political moves.

The French Enlightenment in America: Essays on the Times of the Founding Fathershttps://muse.jhu.edu/pub/164/oa_monograph/chapter/3022292

The eleven essays originally published in 1984 under the title The French Enlightenment in America: Essays on the Time of the Founding Fathers, here reprinted, are both compelling and enjoyable. Paul Merrill Spurlin’s general hypothesis is crystal clear: French philosophes had a large influence in America—especially from 1760 to 1800. The writings of Voltaire, Diderot, Raynal, d’Alembert, Helvétius, d’Holbach, Condorcet, Bayle, Fontenelle, and Rousseau were received enthusiastically by leaders in the colonies and the new nation.

But the “Founding Fathers” absorbed more than daring political principles and moral maxims, Spurlin argues. They were also enthralled by entirely new visions of the natural world. Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson, as chapter 5 shows, made Buffon’s Histoire naturelle (1749) very popular—including, of course, Buffon’s wacky notion that every living being in America is either smaller or weaker than its European counterpart.

French intellectuals exerted an influence on the colonists first, and the founders later. But this could only happen, as Spurlin also argues, because French and Americans already belonged in “the same general climate of ideas.” These long-gone people were members of an “Atlantic community,” he says, a rather exclusive club of elite men who understood each other, though they rarely spoke the same language. An example: Montesquieu’s tripartite separation of powers—“the sacred maxim of free government,” as James Madison called it—was “an important article” of American political thought “long before 1776” (98).

    So you agree with me!
Montesquieu indeed! But there is way more to all this...

Beyond the fact that the US constitution was ratified just about a year before the French Revolution, and that BOTH the French and US revolutions were partly inspired by french thinkers (especially Montesquieu)... it’s highly important to recall another fact (more important than the US constitution itself): it’s the essential fact that America won its war of independence in the first place!
It was won in large part thanks to... France’s massive military help in troops, weapons, ammunition shipments, savvy military organisation and know-how.
All that was a needed prerequisite which permitted America to later envision and craft constitution.
If America would have remained British, there would be zero US constitution. Right?

No wonder Trump stated this about France:

“President Donald Trump, during a visit to Paris for Bastille Day, said, “France is America’s oldest ally. A lot of people don’t know that,” and added, “France helped us secure our independence, a lot of people forget.”

Navy Patriot? Are you disagreeing with President Trump??

Now is not the time to turn a blind eye on what the Iran-Hamas-Russia-North Korea military and political alliance is doing against American interests non-stop all over the planet, even in Africa...

    wastedyears:
    What “interests” would those be?

    Usa-France:
Those “interests” are based on trade and doing business. It’s what made America an immense superpower, especially in the aftermath of WWII when the planet had to be rebuilt.
America without its allied countries (its customers) would not be functional. And (historically speaking) without France it most probably would not have been able to get its independence...

But it’s not only that. When it comes to America’s military presence around the planet, it’s what guarantees its security and preserving its true independence today.
It’s a way to resist the ever expanding GINSCA (Globo-Islamo-NeoSoviet-Commie-Alliance) which is everywhere and hates America.

    So when you say:
“We should be isolationist and not care about the outside world burning.”

That would be a dream come true for the GINSCA giving them all the necessary leeway to massively expand themselves even further everywhere - spreading like cancer. Don’t believe one second that America would be spared from that expanding cancer!

The only thing our enemies yearn for is that America isolate and corner itself in its basement like a traumatized bullied teenager who has decided to not defend himself anymore - letting the bullies expand and remain untouchables.

America’s isolationism would be an act of extreme anti-nationalism... and it would be a pro-globalist act. Because it would give our historical enemies the leeway to expand without any limits - AGAINST America’s interests (I explained above).

You see... our enemies don’t suffer from your qualms and “bunkering down in your cellar” syndrome. Our enemies (especially Russia and China) are MASSIVELY anti-isolationists! They take over everything bit by bit. They feed on our masochistic “isolationism”. They see it as an extreme form of American weakness.
