Bosnian Serbs Thrown out of Spy Club"

The Bosnian Serbs have been thrown out of Spy Club International for not paying their subscription for several years, a NATO source has said. Other Club members had been turning a blind eye to this fact but had become increasingly irritated by the Bosnian Serbs lack of respect, notably refusing to lick the boots of other members and their affiliated organizations.

The crisis came to a head after an inspection by the Spy Club enforcer organization NATO, who in march uncovered spying activities by the Bosnian Serbs against their neighbors and Club Members. According to Article 2 of the Spy Club International rule book, such rights '...only exist if the subscription fee is paid regularly and in a prompt manner.'

Spy Club International, in it's official statement said that;

'The Bosnian Serbs have no right to spy on grounds of national security as long as they do not pay an arbitary subscription to the club and refuse to follow club edicts.'

The statement concludes that:

'The Bosnian Serbs must desist from spying forthwith and be prepared to face a punishment to be decided by other Club members.'

Due to legal limitations on foul language, the Bosnian Serb response is unprintable, but in essence, they vehemently disagree with the Clubs' actions point out its hypocrisy and arbitary actions.

Hold your horses. We don't know nuthin' yet. We've been told a lot of things from a country where there is a virtual media blackout. This news most probably came from governement sources. Unfortunately nothing new. Immigration translators who translated for 'Kosovo refugees' often found that they were not from Kosovo, but from Albania. Worse still, they would have to lie to their employees that they were from 'Kosovo' or they'd meet with an accident. Nobody can protect these translators who are trying to help refugees. Sad, but true.

you've got it wrong. The Serbs hid their own bodies so that they could claim a 'conspiracy' by the West! They've learnt from their mistake at Srebrenica where what is known as the MMT (Mladic Magic Trick) made several thousand bodies dissapear into thin air. Me thinks more of US Defense budget should be spent on Magic, clearly the Serbs are world leaders and this should not be allowed to stand! ;o)

Come on K, did you expect any substantive objective reporting on Djindjic? (rhetorical). For all the fluff written now, history will be much more cruel about him... If only I was not reading this article on a screen....

As for whodunnit, it might have been carried out by crims (then again most of the citizens are because of the previous sanctions), but I pegg it only as a political. The really big question is why now? I would judge that whoever was behind it was expecting further treachery by Djindjic and it would seem reasonable that this assassination had been long in the planning. The last ten days of intensive hunts for Mladic and Karadic, 'dismantling support networks' etc. and Djindic being told to hand them over or else, was ( and using a phrase that reflects my heritage), beyond the pale for some powerful figures.

Djindjic was trying to be a Putin figure but with a slim grasp on the real levers of power. Yes, he was very good at manipulating his opponents which a unified action less likely, but he made too many enemies and it seems to me that lead to a converging of interests of several of his enemies, ergo the rub out operation. Though I'm loath to make the comparison, like Caesar, it will be found that many hands will have held the instruments of his downfall.

OTOH, x.42 and Mr. Cabbage kept the war in Bosnia going because they could not accept a Serb victory. Several military comentators have said that the war was effectively over in 1993, and that most of the fighting was pinging bullets at the other side but not aiming, i.e. low level stuff. Total US backing for Izetbegovic, including the evesdropping on UN communications, which was then passed on directly to the BosMos gov., thus guaranteeing no peace. Sarajevo was riddled with US spooks working against the UN.

The fact that it may have been Chirac who called publically for airstrikes is about as meaningful as saying Gavrilo Princip was the cause of World War One. The reality was taht the stage was being prepared once the famous 'break out' of Sarajevo in early 1995 failed massively, despite US and German backing. Total support for Izebegovic was shown clearly when the Serbs gave up Mts. Igman and Bjelisnica, which the UN promptly let the BosMos forces cross at will and without any credible threat of punishment. X.42 was apoplectic not because he didn't want to bomb the Serbs, but because it didn't follow his own carefully scripted plan for Bosnia and that it was some smelly frenchman telling him that he was an appeaser.
