Clinton stressed for 8 years that it was more important to be liked than to be right. This policy reversal by Bush is a shock to them. Some parts of the world still believe that the U.S. is still immersed in the Clinton culture even after 9/11.
I thought the influence of rad 60's stupidity peaked and dive-bombed with Bill Clinton's self-inflicted political suicide. Shouldn't children of the Reagan years be in positions of power now? Also, 9/11 wasn't the end - it is the new standard terrorist groups now aim for. Where were these flower children when Iraqi children were being tortured to death?

Well, at least he doesn't have to worry about secret police carting his family off to prison for his political opinions. And if I were a Berliner during the day the Allies ended Nazi oppression, I wouldn't be pointing out the fact that a hideous tyrant shared my religion, and I also wouldn't be hard pressed to bash those who ended the oppressive regime that was strangling my country. Of course, Middle East minds have been significantly influenced by media that has been supporting dictatorships for years. A free press there would be good.
Engage in unnecessary fed tightening, witness the recession result, and blame it on "infectious greed". I'm awaiting another gem like "Barbarians at the gate" or something to describe the present double-dip effect.

Jeffords? Yeah! The majority eliminator! The media's great white hope to topple the G.O.P.! Walks alone just like Darth Vader! The circle is now complete.....
So, Bubba was saved for his second term, Hillary is being coached for a historic return to the White House, and Traficant gets slam-dunked 420 to 1 with Condit as the cherry on top?
Some news services tried to show Bush looking stupid when he was talking up the economy while at the same time showing the stock ticker as the Dow lost over 300 points last week. I didn't see them doing the same thing over this rally, though. Time for us to up the Bush Job Industriousness Average back into continuous record territory again.
