Up until now, Democrats have loved felons. The advent of Soros district attorneys and the criminal justice "reform" movement has turned felons into Democrat heroes. Just ask George Floyd. But they've done a 180 now, screaming from every mountaintop that President Trump is a 'felon,' which is highly questionable given that the case they hit him with stands a good chance of being thrown out on appeal. But they're happy enough about it, given that they achieved their political aim, which was to be able to call Trump a 'felon' and peel off a few GOP votes from him ahead...

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -- As of Monday, it is no longer illegal in Hawaii to carry a dangerous weapon in public -- and switchblade and butterfly knives are no longer banned. That change led to an alarming sight in Waikiki at sunset Tuesday. The governor signed HB 2342 into law Monday without fanfare, making it immediately legal to openly carry weapons that were banned in public until now. Gun rights activist Andrew Namiki Roberts, leader...

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s paralegal testified on Friday that his office deleted from their evidence three pages of phone records between convicted liar Michael Cohen and Stormy Daniels’ lawyer Keith Davidson without notifying former President Donald Trump’s legal team, according to reports. Trump attorney Emil Bove questioned paralegal Jaden Jarmel-Schneider on Friday about three pages of 2018 phone records between Davidson and Cohen that Bragg’s office had deleted, according to CNN. Additional phone records between Daniels manager Gina Rodriguez and then-National Enquirer editor Dylan Howard regarding Daniels’ claim about her alleged affair were also deleted, according to The Epoch...

A paralegal from Manhattan Attorney General Alvin Bragg’s office testified on Friday during former President Donald Trump’s “hush money” trial that some phone call records between Michael Cohen and Stephanie Clifford’s (a.k.a. Stormy Daniels) lawyer were deleted, raising questions about evidentiary integrity. In a bid to challenge some of the evidence being put forward in President Trump’s business records falsification trial in Manhattan, Trump attorney Emil Bove asked paralegal Jaden Jarmel-Schneider in court on May 10 about roughly three pages worth of records that the attorney claimed Mr. Bragg’s office had deleted.Mr. Jarmel-Schneider confirmed some deletions. He acknowledged that some phone...
  • Civil War-Era Law Upheld to Ban Abortion in Arizona

    04/10/2024 10:19:12 AM PDT · by Eleutheria5 · 18 replies
The Arizona Supreme Court has decided to uphold a Civil War-era law that bans abortion. A law on the books from 1864 is enforceable, according to Arizona judges. The year in which that law was passed, 1864, was before human chattel slavery was outlawed, and almost 50 years before Arizona was officially part of the United States. The law makes abortion a felony punishable by two to five years in prison. But the ban may be overturned at the polls in November. The 1864 law goes back into effect in 14 days.

John Oliver has offered Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas $1m a year if he leaves the court immediately. On a recent episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, the show host declared, “This is not a joke”, as he waved a contract at the screen and asked the judge to “get the f*** off the Supreme Court.” He added that on top of the million a year, he would throw in a motor coach worth $2.4m in return for the judge leaving the United States’ highest court – making reference with this offer to previous motor coach coverage, which...

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) went after former President Trump for his legal woes in an interview on MSNBC Saturday. “I’ll take the individual who’s 81 over the guy who has 91 felony counts,” Swalwell said, making a reference to President Biden’s age in an interview on MSNBC’s “The Katie Phang Show” on Saturday. “It’s not about two individuals,” Swalwell continued, speaking about the 2024 election. “It’s about the idea of competence versus chaos, or even greater, freedom versus fascism. If we make it about those ideas, and what they mean in our daily lives, we’re gonna win.”

Michigan's House of Representatives has passed a hate speech bill, known as HB 4474, which criminalizes causing someone to feel threatened by words, including the misusing of their pronouns, with the possibility of a hefty fine or even jail time. The bill introduces hate crime penalties for causing someone to 'feel terrorized, frightened, or threatened,' with 'sexual orientation' and 'gender identity or expression' included as protected classes. Offenders could face up to five years in prison for such a felony offense or a $10,000 fine. It is part of a continues effort by Democrats in the state to advance a...

LANSING, Mich. A Michigan House committee plans to hold a hearing on Tuesday regarding two bills that would amend the penal code and make vaguely defined “hate” speech a felony subject to severe penalties. House Bills 4474 and 4475 state, “A person is guilty of a hate crime if that person intimidates or harasses another individual; causes bodily injury or severe mental anguish to another individual; uses force or violence on another individual; damages, destroys, or defaces any real, personal, digital, or online property of another individual; or threatens, by word or act, to do any of the above described...

Republicans in the North Carolina House introduced a bill Tuesday that would ban drag performances in public places or in the presence of a minor. House Bill 673 classifies “male or female impersonators who provide entertainment that appeals to a prurient interest” as adult entertainers in the same legal category as strippers. The bill does not define what constitutes “prurient interest,” nor does it say what constitutes a “male or female impersonator.” Any drag performance done in a public space or at a venue with minors present would result in a misdemeanor on first offense and a felony for subsequent...

Riley Gaines, a former NCAA swimmer, has made been making headlines for using her voice to push back on men competing in women’s sports. On Thursday evening, that led to a group of militant transgender activists violently assaulting her and holding her hostage. Gaines, a 12-time All-American, entered the spotlight over the last year after being one of the few in her sport with the courage to publicly object to Lia Thomas’ domination of women’s swimming. Thomas is a biological man. While he was at the University of Pennsylvania, Thomas’ teammates suffered oppression and humiliation, being made to share a...

Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg seriously embarrassed himself with the indictment that was unsealed on Tuesday. As I noted previously, it confirms the case is the turkey we thought and is a “charge-stacking” effort. It has more holes than Swiss cheese, and it gives the Trump attorneys ample room to run a truck through the case and get it tossed. Expect a motion coming to dismiss the matter shortly, as they already indicated.Bragg held a brief presser to try to justify himself. What he said was pretty laughable."We can not, and will not normalize serious criminal conduct."– District Attorney Alvin BraggSame guy...

On Monday night, it was leaked that Donald Trump will be charged with 34 felony counts for allegedly falsifying business records. ***Trump quickly called out District Attorney Alvin Bragg for illegally leaking the details of the indictment. “Wow! District Attorney Bragg just illegally LEAKED the various points, and complete information, on the pathetic Indictment against me,” Trump wrote in a post shared on Truth Social. “I know the reporter and so, unfortunately, does he. This means that he MUST BE IMMEDIATELY INDICTED. Now, if he wants to really clean up his reputation, he will do the honorable thing and, as...

It is likely that a serious felony has been committed right under District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s nose and he is not investigating it. Under New York law, it is a felony to leak confidential grand jury information, such as whether the jurors voted to indict. The protection of secrecy is as applicable to President Trump as it is to anyone else. We know that the information was disclosed while the indictment itself remains sealed and before any official announcement was made or charges brought. It is unlikely that the leak came from the Trump team, which seemed genuinely surprised. The...

Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.) on Sunday called President Biden’s comments last year about former President Trump’s handling of classified documents “embarrassing” amid the discovery of classified documents at Biden’s own residence. “Well, it’s certainly embarrassing,” Stabenow told host Chuck Todd on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” But the Michigan senator said that though the recent discovery of “a small number” of classified documents from Biden’s time as vice president at an old Washington, D.C., office and at his Wilmington, Del., home was an embarrassing slip-up, she emphasized that the Biden team has cooperated with authorities on the matter.
