MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A 60-Year-old Miami man said he was forced to shoot and kill a gunman who had broken in to his van early Monday morning in an attempt to rob him of his jewelry. “The guy I killed last night, he put an AK-47 to my damn face,” said Donovan Stewart. Stewart told CBS4’S Peter D’Oench that he had to act quickly because he was worried about the safety of his 11-year-old son and girlfriend who were in the van with him. “I am from Kingstontown in Jamaica,” he said, “and I am not going to go out...

It’s been so cold in Birmingham, Alabama that they’ve had stuff shivering they didn’t know could shake. It was especially bitter on the afternoon of January 7th and a good many folks had taken a respite from the cold by grabbing lunch at the Chick-fil-A on Highway 280 in Inverness. One of the diners who came in that day was a bit unkempt. He was wearing jeans and a hoodie – hardly the kind of clothing for a day like that. Most folks just figured he was a homeless fellow. The man first made eye contact with Mark Meadows, the owner of the...

John Ziegler In only the past couple days, just as the Republican presidential field seems to be forming the type of void that almost begs her to fill it, Sarah Palin has once again been called “stupid” in two high-profile media outlets. The first came from one of the usual suspects, Chris Matthews and MSNBC, where the host dismissed Palin as having allegedly proven herself to be “profoundly stupid.”The second occurred when the Huffington Post repeated a secondhand quote from an anonymous “Republican” who allegedly told a New York magazine reporter that Fox News head Roger Ailes “thinks” that Palin is...

Born in London in 1928 of Jewish heritage, I grew up during the Second World War and knew that members of my extended family were murdered in the Holocaust. The puzzlement at how this could happen affected me from my earliest years. How could an otherwise civilized society like Germany become so completely immersed in what appeared to be a madman leading a nation in a trance? This was no ordinary madness; trains ran on time, children went to school, the opera performed—the veneer of patriotic normalcy was everywhere and yet the people fought to the death for the beast...

Media Malpractice: One year later By John Ziegler 02/23/10 at 12:00 am A year ago today I went head-to-head, live, with Matt Lauer on the Today Show during the coveted 7:30 a.m. slot. The purported occasion for this interview was the release that day of my documentary film on the 2008 election and its aftermath, “Media Malpractice… How Obama Got Elected and Palin Was Targeted.”Of course, the only real reason the esteemed Today Show agreed to lower itself to have on a relatively unknown conservative filmmaker who was introducing only his second feature film was that I was providing...

Please spread this link to those who you think might be interested as there are many who will be trying to spike this story. Also, please don't respond to this e-mail unless it is urgent as my e-mail box needs to be cleaned out and I am way behind in doing that. Thanks so much for your support." REMEMBER: JOHN ZIEGLER WILL BE SPEAKING AT UC MERCED THIS...

By John Ziegler**UPDATE: ESPN Reports Limbaugh To Be Dropped By Bidding Group to Buy Rams** Even in these times when the once unthinkable is becoming increasingly unremarkable, the current controversy over whether Rush Limbaugh is potentially worthy to be an NFL owner crosses over from the simply outrageous to the utterly infuriating. I strongly believe that it also represents a seminal moment in our cultural history as well as the sad state of free speech in this country. There are so many levels of insanity with this story that it is difficult to know where to begin.

If you don't find yourself laughing, or at least smiling, at this manhandling, you might want to check for a pulse. Contessa Brewer was trying to interview talk-radio host John Ziegler about the Letterman/Palin kerfuffle. Zielger had his own ideas about the interview should be conducted. It is beautiful, right down to Brewer's phony hurt feelings at the end. Sniff, sniff, conservatives are so meeean.View Video Here!
