Tennessee legislators approve changes in Freedom to Farm law By GARREN SHIPLEY KINGSPORT - A bill to clarify Tennessee's Freedom to Farm law is on its way to the desk of Gov. Don Sundquist. The House of Representatives passed the bill by Rep. Ken Givens, D-Rogersville, on Monday night with no dissent. The bill clarifies that some farms can be shut down, but essentially only applies the provision to farms that don't conform to standard agricultural practices.
