Feminist Gloria Steinem, who never seems to have anything nice to say about men, offered her analysis as to why men criticize Hillary Clinton in an interview with ABC News' Cokie Roberts: "I think actually that looking at a powerful woman made them feel -- they had been regressed to childhood, because the last time they saw a really powerful woman, they were 8. So they behaved like 8," she said. ABC tried to offer some context as a means of explaining her strange comments, such as the fact that she grew up in an era where women often...

North Korea on Friday endorsed a march by the feminist activist Gloria Steinem across the heavily fortified demilitarized zone (DMZ) that separates it from South Korea. The Associated Press reported that Steinem plans to lead an all-female march called Women Cross DMZ. Organizers now hope South Korea will also approve the journey, tentatively scheduled for May 24. [Snip] Ahn and the other organizers are using the walk to call on President Obama and the U.N. for a formal peace treaty ending the Korean War. That conflict ended in relative stalemate after an armistice in 1953.

Gloria Steinem is among 30 women activists marching from Beijing through the demilitarized zone dividing North and South Korea in a call for peace next Sunday. The event marks the International Women’s Day for Peace and Disarmament. The 81-year-old activist told Reuters that “it seems to me that the past of no contact has not worked,” invoking former President Ronald Reagan’s call to tear down the Berlin Wall. “We are saying: ‘Take down this isolation,’” she said, according to the report, which also notes that the organizers will meet with North Korean women and tour a maternity hospital, a women’s...

WASHINGTON, April 27 (UPI) -- An international women's peace walk through the Korean peninsula's forbidden demilitarized zone is under criticism from human rights advocates. The May 24 walk includes Nobel laureates, disarmament activists and U.S. feminist Gloria Steinem. On Friday The New York Times reported organizers received conditional approval for the walk from both Seoul and Pyongyang. Activists involved said they are calling for a permanent peace to replace the 1953 armistice agreement that stopped the Korean War but did not end tensions on the Korean peninsula. Cora Weiss, president of The Hague Appeal for Peace has said, "We're calling...

During an appearance on Friday’s CBS This Morning to promote her latest book, far-left feminist Gloria Steinem eagerly blamed Rush Limbaugh for making the word feminism a “bad word” because he “talks about feminazis everyday.” Co-host Norah O’Donnell teed up Steinem to bash Limbaugh by noting the Meryl Streep “doesn't consider herself a feminist. She says she considers herself a humanist. Why is it that the feminist label do you think has that--" bad connotation? After Steinem bashed Limbaugh for allegedly making the word feminism a “bad word” she then claimed that most Americans actually identify as feminists themselves: But if...

Gloria Steinem doesn’t have her facts straight, but don’t expect the media to call her out on it. On Tuesday, feminist activist Gloria Steinem appeared as a guest on PBS’ Tavis Smiley. During the show, Steinem praised abortion for giving her “my life†and bashed the controversy surrounding Planned Parenthood’s practice of aborted baby parts. She blamed the “attack†on Planned Parenthood on everything from the “ultra-right wing†to “patriarchy†and a “long-term racist system.†Host Tavis Smiley hailed Steinem as a “feminist icon†and “renowned social activist†before asking about her newly published book, My Life on the Road....

President Barack Obama has named sixteen recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which is the nation’s highest civilian honor. Abortion activist Gloria Steinem will be one of the recipients. The Presidential Medal of Freedom is “presented to individuals who have made especially meritorious contributions to the security or national interests of the United States, to world peace, or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors,” and Obama apparently believes dedicating one’s life to promoting abortion is a part of that list. Obama said “The Presidential Medal of Freedom goes to men and women who have dedicated their...

During her speech at a Planned Parenthood of Central Oklahoma fundraiser on September 21, liberal feminist icon Gloria Steinem broached an uncomfortable topic for abortion proponents: the pandemic of missing girls. In 2011, that number was estimated to be 160 million. In her book, Unnatural selection: Choosing boys over girls, and the consequences of a world full of men, pro-abortion author Mara Hvistendahl, a correspondent for Science magazine, blamed ultrasound technology and abortion for the gendercide. This is simply common sense. I give Steinem points for raising the issue, particularly at a Planned Parenthood event, since it was only last...

Speaking at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., on Monday, feminist Gloria Steinem said receiving the Medal of Freedom from President Barack Obama would be “honoring the work of Margaret Sanger.” “I hope this is retroactive in honoring the work of Margaret Sanger,” said Steinem about the woman who founded what would become Planned Parenthood Federation of America, the largest abortion provider in the United States....

Gloria Steinem, the feminist icon of the 60's and 70's who founded Ms. Magazine and serves as one of the loudest cheerleaders for abortion in America, received the Medal of Freedom today from President Barack Obama. Ruth Tam, columnist for the Washington Post, had the privilege of interviewing Gloria. Here are some brief highlights: Tam: You spent your early career fighting for abortion rights. It’s still a hot-button issue. How has the fight over abortion changed in your lifetime and what’s the next battleground? Steinem: It shouldn’t be an issue. Approximately one in three women in this country needs...

Obama Gives Radical Feminist Steinem Medal of Freedom President Obama said that Gloria Steinem “changed how women thought about themselves.” He also labeled her a “game-changer,” a “disrupter,” and a “champion noticer.” Obama stated, “She’s alert to all the ways, large and small, that women had been and, in some cases, continue to be treated unfairly just because they’re women… because of her work, across America and around the world, more women are afforded the respect and opportunities that they deserve.” Obama did not mention Steinem’s disdain for heterosexual relationships (Steinem infamously remarked that “a woman without a man is...

OBAMA AWARDED THE 2013 MEDAL OF FREEDOM TO ABORTION CHAMPION, GLORIA STEINEM, AND SHE DEDICATED THE HONOR TO MARGARET SANGER, THE FOUNDER OF PLANNED PARENTHOOD. SANGER, THE KU KLUX KLAN, AND PLANNED PARENTHOOD By: William Sullivan | February 16th, 2012 “I accepted an invitation to talk to the women’s branch of the Ku Klux Klan…I saw through the door dim figures parading with banners and illuminated crosses…In the end, through simple illustrations I believed I had accomplished my purpose. A dozen invitations to speak to similar groups were proffered.” (Sanger 366) The above quote is taken from the autobiography of...

1575 Share Among those who have just received the Medal of Freedom from President Obama is Gloria Steinem, who has done as much for advancing abortion-on-demand as any single person in the last half century. In an interview with The Washington Post, she said, “Approximately one in three women in this country needs an abortion at some time in her life”. Aside from the dubiousness of this statistic, note that she uses the term “needs.”

What is clear is that what passes for “need” in the world...

While dedicated pro-lifers work to save babies, St. Norbert College will be doing something oddly different: welcoming radical pro-abortionist Gloria Steinem to speak on campus. The talk is scheduled next semester on April 21, 2015, according to a news release issued by the college.Every pro-lifer should sign this peaceful protest todayGiven that St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin is a Catholic institution, the invitation is causing confusion and scandal. Pro-life students and alumni are deeply troubled by the decision which, if not canceled, will give a Catholic platform to a notorious activist who publicly promotes the killing of innocent...
