A U.S. soldier has been charged with premeditated murder in the deaths of three Afghan civilians, Fox News has confirmed. Specialist Jeremy Morlock, a 22-year-old Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldier, was charged Friday with murdering three Afghan civilians this year in Kandahar province. He also was charged with assaulting a soldier in his unit. Morlock, of Wasilla, Alaska, could face the death penalty if convicted.
