The Ohio attorney general said on Friday that DNA tests showed Cleveland kidnapping and rape suspect Ariel Castro is the father of the six-year-old born while he allegedly held the girl's mother and two other women captive for nearly a decade. A prison guard who acknowledged being a member of white supremacist group the Ku Klux Klan has been fired for belonging to a subversive or terrorist organisation, a violation of the county agency's code of ethics. The state has automatically restored voting rights to nearly 16,000 felons in the two months since a rules change that Republican Gov. Charlie Crist sought to help parolees re-establish themselves, his office said Wednesday.
