The Uvalde, Texas, Police Chief Daniel Rodriguez, reportedly submitted his resignation to the city during a meeting Tuesday, which will be effective on April 6, according to reports. The Uvalde Leader-News reported that Rodriguez nor city administrators specified why the chief was resigning, though the decision comes just days after the city released a report clearing officers of any wrongdoing in the tragic shooting that left 19 children and two teachers dead. …

“Those Cuban-CIA men (Bay of Pigs vets) were as tough, dedicated and impetuous a group of soldiers as I’ve ever had the honor of commanding,” wrote legendary anti-communist mercenary “Mad Mike” Hoare, commander of the “Wild Geese,” in his book Congo Mercenary. ''This is the history of a failure,'' said the oddly frank opening lines of Che Guevara’s Congo Dairies. “I stood above Che Guevara, my boots near his head, just as Che had once stood over my dear friend and fellow 2506 Brigade member, Nestor Pino. ‘We're going to kill you all," Che said to Pino.’ Now, the situation...

A 48-year-old Amtrak worker has been arrested for allegedly stealing chainsaws and chainsaw parts valued at more than $50,000 from his employer and reselling them, mainly via an online auction service, federal prosecutors in New Jersey say. Jose Rodriguez, of Brick, faces one count of theft from an agency receiving federal funds and one count of theft of government property for the alleged years-long scheme, Acting U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Rachel Honig said Tuesday. According to court papers, Rodriguez has been an Amtrak employee since October 2007, most recently as a senior engineer and repairman based out of a...

ames Rodriguez was a freshman at New York University when the then-aspiring actor first learned that his Mexican-American heritage was going to be a problem for Hollywood. He had just nailed an audition for a big feature film, but the casting director was put off by the fact that his Caucasian-like skin tone was out of sync with his last name. So he was offered the chance to read for the role of a gang member, only to be told that he wasn’t right for that, either. “I didn’t look Latino enough,” he recalls. “They basically didn’t know what to...

Judge Brett Kavanaugh sits on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.  Several news articles, including those here, here, and here, mention him as a leading contender to be nominated by President Donald Trump to replace retiring justice Anthony Kennedy on the United States Supreme Court. The nomination of Kavanaugh would be ironic, given candidate Trump's disparaging comment about a death investigation in which Kavanaugh played a major role.  On July 20, 1993, Hillary Clinton's former law partner, and then deputy White House counsel for President Bill Clinton, Vincent Foster, was found dead in Virginia's Fort Marcy Park.  The official...

Michelle Rodriguez attested that her “Widows” co-star Liam Neeson is not a racist because of how he kissed Viola Davis during the movie. The actress came to Neeson’s defense Wednesday night at the amfAR gala in the wake of Neeson’s racially charged comments that he wanted to kill a “black bastard” to avenge a friend who had been raped. The actor later apologized and contended that his comments were taken out of context. “It’s all f—in’ bulls—. Liam Neeson is not a racist,” Rodriguez told Vanity Fair at the New York event. “Dude, have you watched ‘Widows’? His tongue was...

Actress Gina Rodriguez is catching flack and being schooled by social media users after saying Black actresses get paid more than Asian and Latina stars. As noted by atlantablackstar.com, during a roundtable talk with TV actress Ellen Pompeo, Gabrielle Union, and Emma Roberts, Rodriguez explained her fears and reservations with discussing the Hollywood pay gap. “I get so petrified in this space talking about equal pay especially when you look at the intersectional aspect of it, right? Where white women get paid more than black women, black women get paid more than Asian women, Asian women get paid more than...

Alex Rodriguez’s nephew was kidnapped and held for ransom in a New York City hotel early Thursday after a deal involving two people and a $600,000 Lamborghini went bad. Norberto Susini, 29, who plays in independent baseball leagues, met two men identified as Lamin Vucetovic, 33, and Anthony Gilkes, 30, in Manhattan’s Times Square to sell them the luxury vehicle, police told FoxNews.com. Gilkes and Vucetovic reportedly drove Susini to the Marriott Marquis, but then demanded Susini return a $35,000 deposit. The men then allegedly held Susini against his will in the hotel room. Police said the pair then called...

If President Trump still believes, as he said last year, that there’s something “very fishy” about the official Independent Counsel report on the still-mysterious death of Bill Clinton’s White House deputy counsel Vincent Foster, he might want to reconsider one of his new candidates for nomination to U.S. Supreme Court. One of five candidates for a potential opening on the court named Friday by Trump is Brett M. Kavanaugh.

Alex Rodriguez isn’t done apologizing for his use of steroids during an impressive 23-year MLB career. Jumping from the Fox Sports booth, where he works as a baseball analyst, to the stage for a one-on-one interview with Joe Buck, Rodriguez explained what was going through his mind when MLB suspended him for the 2013-14 season for his role in the Biogenesis scandal. Playing for the Yankees at the time under the most lucrative contract in baseball, Rodriguez was accused of receiving HGH from Anthony Bosch’s Biogenesis of America, the infamous anti-aging clinic in Florida. “Yeah, I mean there’s so many...

Homeowner’s son kills three would-be burglars with AR-15 Three would-be robbers were shot and killed Monday when an Oklahoma homeowner’s son opened fire on them with an AR-15, authorities said. Wagoner County sheriff’s deputies were called to the home in Broken Arrow, southeast of Tulsa at around 12:30 p.m. local time. When they arrived, they found the three dead suspects and two uninjured residents. Sheriff’s spokesman Deputy Nick Mahoney said the suspects enetered the home through a glass back door with the intent to burglarize it. It was not immediately clear why they picked that home. Mahoney said the suspects...

Obama implies (says) it's ok for them to vote and the government doesn't track them and won't come to deport them. Listen for yourself and decide. It is all over Fox Business news

President Obama’s top official responsible for vetting refugees testified before the Senate Wednesday that it’s possible for people from Syria and other terrorist-infested countries to have their refugee applications approved based simply on personal interviews with a “highly trained” immigration officer. Leon Rodriguez, director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, could not deny that in many cases there is no data from the refugee’s home country that would corroborate or refute his story. He tried to reassure the committee by saying the screening process is lengthy and continuously being improved, noting that the United Nations pre-screens the refugees before his...

Throwing out a first pitch before a baseball game can be a harrowing experience. And let’s face it, the risks far outweigh the rewards. A great first pitch is met with either indifference, or a smattering of applause from the fans. A bad first pitch will be mocked forever. This one falls into the latter category. Prior to Wednesday’s game against the Oakland Athletics, Miss Texas Daniella Rodriguez threw out the first pitch for the Houston Astros. It did not go well. While standing on the grass in front of the mound, Rodriguez displayed a strong leg kick and a...

But newly discovered evidence unearthed from boxes stored deep in the National Archives lend credence to theories about foul play and cover-up that have been hinted at by at least three books and countless articles. The newest piece to the puzzle was uncovered by two citizen researchers, one of whom was a witness involved in the case from the beginning. What had only been suspicions about missing death-scene photographs are now proven to exist. The smoking-gun information comes from two documents: a two-page letter of resignation and a 31-page memo both written by Starr’s lead prosecutor, Miguel Rodriguez. Rodriguez refers...
