A Jewish Yale University student journalist reporting on an anti-Israeli protest at the Ivy League school Saturday night was stabbed in the eye with a Palestinian flag – while her assailant has gone unpunished. Sahar Tartak, the editor-in-chief of the Yale Free Press, was covering the protest – which saw hundreds of students camping at the campus in support of Palestinians – when she was suddenly surrounded by demonstrators. Tartak said she and a friend were singled out for wearing Hasidic Jewish attire as the crowd formed a blockade around them to interfere with their filming.

Independent presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s third-party bid could take more of a bite out of former President Donald Trump’s numbers than President Joe Biden, a new poll suggests. Trump, 77, ekes out a win against Biden, 81, one-on-one 46% to 44%, but when Kennedy is added to the mix, Biden tops Trump at 39% to 37%, followed by Kennedy at 13%, Jill Stein at 3% and Cornel West at 2%, an NBC News poll found. That finding goes against some other polling results and comes against the backdrop of tightening polls between the two presidents.

Governor JB Pritzker (D-IL) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that he was concerned about a presidential debate because former President Donald Trump “lies and lies and lies.” Pritzker said, “Let’s let the courts have their say about Donald Trump’s crimes and I don’t think that Joe Biden needs to be talking about that when he can remind people about what’s at stake for their future when they go into the ballot box at in November.”

CHICAGO — A Chicago police officer has died after being shot multiple times in the Gage Park neighborhood on the city’s Southwest Side while returning home from duty overnight. Chicago Police Department Supt. Larry Snelling confirmed in a briefing Sunday morning outside the University of Chicago Medical Center that the officer was pronounced dead.

Anti-Israel protesters at Yale University tore down an American flag on Friday night as they occupied the campus in what Jewish students have called an act of intimidation against them and against the university. The video circulated on social media on Saturday and Sunday, with kaffiyeh-clad activists whooping and cheering as they tore down the Stars and Stripes.

GREENBELT, Md. (WDCW) – Five teens were injured in a shooting in Greenbelt, Maryland, during “senior skip day” festivities for local high school students, police said. Three of the victims had serious injuries and the two others were critically hurt, fire officials said. One remained in critical condition as of Saturday. The victims were all between the ages of 16 and 18.

Lululemon, a Canadian athletic apparel retailer, revealed that it will be closing its warehouse in Sumner, Washington, by the end of the year, laying off more than 100 employees. The athletic apparel company filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice with Washington’s Employment Security Department (ESD) on Thursday. In the notice on the ESD’s website, Lululemon says layoffs at the 150,000-square-foot warehouse will begin on June 21, with 128 employees expected to be laid off.
