My Dad was a Marine, my son is a Navy veteran, my father-in-law was AirForce, my grandfathers were Army (WWI) my nephews are Navy and Marines - guess ya'll know where I stand regarding our great armed forces! I've been lurking for about 6 months and decided to take the plunge. I'm a southern girl - decided on my screen name in deference to my parents - Daddy taught me the meaning of "grit" and Momma sent me to charm school so I could conceal the fact that I had it (lol).
