Don't feel too bad. Bush is what the Uniparty gave us. We can only take what's on offer. The other alternatives were the wretched Al Gore or John Kerry. If those are still the only choices, I still choose Bush - although I probably wouldn't participate if such a choice came around again in the future.
The financial crisis of 2008, Obama, Iraq, McCain, our massive, frozen-in-amber government, and above all Trump's candidacy, have taught me a lot about how Washington, our political system, our monetary system, and our elites, really operate. I realize now the Bush family were insiders, just like the Clintons. Yes, there were some surface differences, but none that really matter. I didn't understand that in 2000.
I don’t have a crystal ball. I like to think I do, but I would have lost billions in the stock market, and I would have lost wars for decades.
One thing I CAN say, with oracle-like accuracy is that during the week of September 11th, 2001 if Al Gore were president he would have faced the camera and flat-out blamed America for being attacked.
I know this. And for this single week alone I am proud to have voted against him (And Kerry) at whatever the cost. These people would not have ruined us, would not have dishonored us and would not have harmed us - they would have _eliminated_ the United States of America.
I don’t care how “nice” he was; he hasn’t been “nice” lately. I voted for him solely because of the opposition; I don’t find that he was materially better in power. He’s been a real bootlicker since he got out of office. And I didn’t like his disastrous war or the fake excuse he used to get us into it. The major mistake Reagan made was in putting his father (who had lost two senate races in Texas and could only win a safe Republican House seat) in as VP - otherwise, the Bushes would have been nothing in politics other than another monied family through inheritance where the father held a series of appointed sinecures. I don’t miss any of them, not one bit.
And, it is Trump's devotion to the idea of "national sovereignty" and "America first" combined with the Bushes' criticism of him (as opposed to their silence on the 8-year rule of Obama/Jarrett) which has exposed their absolute commitment to globalism over the George Washington idea of national sovereignty.
Not necessarily true. We got Obama more likely because he was running against Hillary, who after two elections was defeated. On the Republican side the choices were McCain, and his stifling of Sarah Palin hurt him, followed by Mitt Romney who couldn’t finish off an embattled Obama. Worse yet, Paul Ryan couldn’t outwit the pervert from Delaware, Biden.

Ditto.
And, what’s more, I’m sure millions of people feel the same way, and that the Uniparty is COMPLETELY oblivious of this - cocksure that if they just manage to get rid of Trump somehow that we’ll all fall back into line and vote for the next Jeb! they find to shove down our throats.
Not gonna happen.
W was the best president..................Mexico ever had..........................
And anyone who confesses to still admire George W. Bush, his cronies, and everything they stood for and STILL stand for by colluding with their Uniparty fellow travelers against Trump, is an irredeemable blithering fool.
Clever!
He clearly still has a following, or JEB wouldn’t have had such a good chance. But Trump brought out truths that people couldn’t avoid seeing, and he fought back the way we begged Bush to fight. Trump is our knight with his lance pointed at the enemy and us, the army behind him.
He was the beginning of my very slow realization that the GOP is false.
I further did not recognize this even through McStain and R0mney.
I’m pretty slow, but it has become crystal clear now.
Bookmarking for later; thank you for sharing.
And without Trump, I never would have understood. I will never stop being grateful to that man.
No, Jeb would not have been an unmitigated disaster, because he never would have been.
His family name is mud now.
Had he somehow won the nomination “without the base”, there would have only been President Hillary Clinton.
Thank you very darn much, President Donald J. Trump!
What made me start to understand was when the GOP took the house and senate under Obama.
Refusing to use any power that they wielded to stop him in anyway, very suspicious.
Then when Trump came into the primary, oh boy, they didn’t like that at all.
And now that he is president, and they control all three branches, the GOP is totally naked and exposed as a false party.
They are all liars.
“I will still vote for any Republican over any Democrat.”
Corker?
McCain?
Flake?
Murkowski?
Collins?
What’s the difference? The difference is a Democrat will stay with the party on the votes that count to advance the progressive cause, even it the stand hurts him/her personally. When faced with a choice of supporting conservative principles or avoiding media criticism, the RINO Republican will always run from principle to avoid the media heat.
Okay, you don’t vote for frauds.
Who did you vote for back then?
Thought so, you won’t answer because you’ll be shown for what you are.
I still agree with my housemate. Clearly the Bush’s are NWO stooges. Granddaddy helped fund and insure Hitler’s success.
Housemate speculated that Bush Jr may have been a reluctant stooge doing the oligarchy’s bidding somewhat against his own values and patriotic leanings. Now, Housemate is not so sure how reluctant he was. The hostility to Trump is more than a little dismaying.
Our household is not fond of duplicitous fickle “friends.” And we certainly do not like traitors.
Maybe you’re a bit slow. I don’t vote for frauds and liars like Boosh. If there is no choice, I don’t vote. It’s very simple. Even you should be able to understand that. It’s not complex.
That’s interesting, people insulting you because your vote didn’t allow Al Gore or John Kerry to be President.
Given the same choice, I would vote for Bush again, both times.
I would like it less, if I knew what I know today, but I would still do it.
Some people love to brandish the fact that they voted for some third party turd/loon, or that they didn’t vote at all. I say let them have that, it isn’t much, but it is all they have.
