I’m certain all her patriot acts since then more than make up for Vietnam. She has been such a loyal American since those days I’m sure she was sincere...

Sure, I will forgive her. Right after she fully, directly, contritely, and completely voluntarily confesses her crimes, which she has never, ever done. And, right after she has fully paid the entire criminal penalties for said crimes, which she has never, ever done. And, right after she has made as full a compensation as possible to her direct victims as possible, which she has never, ever done. Then, make a true, heartfelt, honest apology and ask for forgiveness. At that point, you betcha. Until then, she is just an ungrateful, unrepentant, communist, anti-American, propagandist.

No. The author is a moron for suggesting it. Her actions enabled the expansion of communism.

Hey, Nolte was indeed behind bars in 1966. Of course they were the bars of his baby crib.

Carter pardoned draft evaders. They may have been the smart ones. Made us a better country.

Say what??

A genuine and sincere apology typically includes the following components:

Acknowledgment: The person apologizing should acknowledge what they did wrong and take responsibility for their actions.

Empathy: The person apologizing should express empathy by acknowledging how their actions affected the other person and expressing genuine remorse for causing harm.

Explanation: The person apologizing may explain the circumstances that led to their actions, but should avoid making excuses or trying to justify their behavior.

Restitution: If appropriate, the person apologizing should offer to make things right by taking steps to repair any damage they caused or offering to make amends in some other way.

Commitment: The person apologizing should commit to changing their behavior in the future and taking steps to prevent similar situations from occurring again.

Request for forgiveness: The person apologizing should humbly request forgiveness and be prepared to give the other person space and time to process their emotions and decide whether or not to forgive them.

It's important to note that a genuine and sincere apology requires more than just saying "I'm sorry." It should come from a place of true remorse and a desire to make things right.

She wasn’t used or fooled or tricked, she volunteered. She was a mature adult. Her fake apology is the usual leftist non apology.

Absolute nonsense. She has never suffered any negative consequences for her actions. She has never taken any steps to repair the damage she inflicted on this country. The comparison to the left’s obsession with slavery has no merit.

"Carter pardoned draft evaders. They may have been the smart ones. Made us a better country."

No they didn't make us a better country. They have exacerbated the downward trend in our society and values.

They have been a cancer on our society, while those of us who did serve and die are the ones forgotten and denigrated.
