Once again hindsight is 20-20. I consider her vote a Profile in Courage but too often unmasked ideas come out later such as a $50 minimum wage. What did Hillary taking out Khadafy get Europe?
We need to create a Department of Prevention with the power to eliminate departments that get too big.

You know you’re absolutely right. If the government did it’s job there would be no need for a fence. No one would notice it either.
BTW-I’m halfway through “The Last Honest Man”, a book about Frank Church-Idaho Senator. He was into exposing the inner workings of the government/deep state. Perhaps they didn’t call it that then. As a Democrat he represented deep red Idaho by making all the right enemies as an opportunist. My respect for him went up when he exposed the Russian military brigade in Cuba that had been there for years-Carter’s tenure. The author, James Risen pointed his opportunistic tendencies. I may not finish it but the time period most of us can relate to.

I’ve read she has cancer problems. I doubt you’ll find much sympathy here among older Freepers who remember her treason.
Doesn’t have to be older vets. This vet (retired in 1985) stands with the old vets. May she rot in the fires of hades. I especially stand for my dad, two tours in Saigon, and passed in 1991. He always detested her, and taught me what this country meant to him. For you old vets out there…cheers, and you have my deep respect and I’ll hold my salute for you guys as long as necessary.

The irony of your comment is that you don’t necessarily reference The Church Committee, but it was that investigation which gave the IC the blueprint for what we have today.
i.e., they spent the last 5 decades learning how to compromise those who provide oversight (Congress), and it was technology which made it easy.
Hell, even after all the brouhaha, the FISA court is still in business.
The federal bureaucracy took a huge leap forward at undermining the Constitution in 2001 (thanks a lot, traitor GW), but anyone who can’t acknowledge that the feds have declared war on the states via both abrogation of their oaths and direct actions which undermine our currency, elections and sovereignty (etc., etc.) is in abject DENIAL.
I’ll have to check out The Last Honest Man (not sure how I missed it).

War was never declared against Vietnam. Can’t prosecute for treason under that circumstance.
