Murtha has said that the back of the US military was broken in Iraq. He is lying scum.

If he has such a low opinion of today's military forces, he should not be allowed to make political decisions on their behalf.
He is a clear and present danger to the troops!

I'm well into my 50s and I'd go back in a heart beat!
In fact, I'm waiting for them to raise the age limit for prior service personnel.

If I expressed how I really feel about this loser I would have MIB kicking in my door in short order.
To: jmc1969
Well, of course not. The military wouldn't take him either. He simply couldn't hack it any more.

Reminds me of when someone said to Billy Martin the Texas Rangers are two players away from the world series; Martin quipped, "Yea, but Babe Ruth and Cy Young are dead".

It's good he wouldn't join the military today. Saved us a bullet in the back for desertion.

So he served during a war (along with me) in which our country was NOT attacted. But now he would not serve when our country WAS attacted.
Gee! What could have changed him? Or, perhaps he never really changed at all and it simply became fashionable in Dem circles to be a traitor to your country.

"Our freedom of speech in this country allows all of us the opportunity to voice an opinion. It's one of our great strengths as a nation," he added.
Does anyone else see the hypocrisy here? This man says he would not wish to serve in our military and even slams the military in a few ways, yet in his next breath, he cites "free speech," the very freedom (or one of the many) that our military protects.
