The watermelons are getting their wish in Michigan: deindustrialization and socialism. Look at Detroit. That is what they want for the whole world.

gloBull warming is only for lefties and the weak minded. Sorry, but I just think anyone touting it has been sold snake-oil. There is no “proof” in their “proof”. They argue it from a religious standpoint. Disciples of this new religion are among us here on FR. All hail the goracle!

Climate prediction software is not as good as meteorology software... it sucks even more! Many of the same “Federal grant-whores” were selling glo-Bull freezing in the 70’s. Follow the MONEY! It will lead you to the “real” truth!

The moonbats are taking over Michigan. They want to reduce Michigan wages 80% below 1990 levels, tax haircuts, fishing and water and bronze our communist governor going broke running a kid’s lemonade stand.

Michigan is the only state in the union run by embalmers.

Yes; the world has been warming since PA was covered by a 40 foot glacier. THe warming since that point has little to do with mankind, obviously.

Who are you going to believe, your lying eyes or my earth-religion dogma?

Seriously, a late cold snap does not disprove a warming climate trend any more than an overly-warm summer proves it. However, advocates of Global Warming have added political ideology on top of the constant change in the climate to insist that human activity is responsible for the warming they insist is there and therefore humans can mitigate that warming.

One popular media personality insists there is no longer “any debate” about this, saying that there is more CO2 in the atmosphere than “anytime in the last 450,000 years”. I simply want to know what happened 450,001 years ago, what climate change treaties did the Neanderthals sign (or refuse to sign), what SUVs did they outlaw, how may private jet flights did they buy carbon offsets for?

It is a simple question that no advocate of Global Warming cares to answer. They are too busy scolding us about the Present Crisis.

Neither do any of these passionate advocates care to explain what happened around 1000 AD to make Greenland so warm that it was settled by Erik the Red where the people who came with him farmed and raised cattle. Then there is the “year without a summer”, in 1850, when it was so cold in July that crops failed all across Europe, killing millions of people.

The climate is aways changing. The ruins of abandoned cliff settlements of Native Americans in our Southwest are today favorite tourist attractions and enjoy the protection of the National Park Service. While most tourists see these as quaint relics of pre-whiteman life, the climate change that caused them stands as mute witness to the current madness called Global Warming.

"I think that's an easy excuse, but if we're really reasonable about it, we're not talking about individual weather on individual days," Locke said.

Oh, but have a couple of really hot days during summer or an extra hurricane in a particular year and they cite it as absolute proof of warming.

I don't think they even listen to what they say themselves.

The problem is, big business stands to gain by endorsing the GW issue. If Kyoto-like gets passed here, then the taxpayers pick up the bill. We may not agree with the GM religion, but the legislators are not listening to us.

Global warming is serving the Left with two things:

Yes, GW is ONLY about the leftist agenda. It is their standard modus operandi — create chaos, a faux issue, then set themselves up as the saviors of mankind from that issue. These socialist crooks are totally tranparent now, and they depend on the ignorant, the stupid, the uneducated to buy into their deliberate scams.

When I was in High School, everyone was worried about the coming "Ice Age".

Same scare tactics...different times.

LOL... Don't think algore could put a sweater on.

Of course that would then miss the point of us all baking to death.

Don't suppose we could combat this with a subscription to the Limbaugh letter sitting in the library now could we?

We have huffington-ites, dnc operatives, soros spies and every other type and style of leftist vermin on FR... all of whom try to present themselves as “Conservatives”.

Conservatives do not think, write, or believe in the things that some on FR post. Jim knows about this long-running problem and he has commented on it in past threads. glo-bull warming is their latest tool. We even have some on FR clamoring for higher taxes and surrendering to hajis. What kind of Conservative thinks like that? A faux-Conservative of course!

Whatever is going on has nothing to do with the climate.
