Well, the NHL was probably better back then, when many players did not wear helmets and as a result were that good deal less careless or deliberate with their sticks and also that good deal more recognizable to fans in person or watching on TV. And the tough guys were able to protect the non combatants that good deal more as well (before the instigator rule was adopted).

I will NOT give him the first one. Meat SUCKS now including chicken. It hasn’t enough fat anymore. Unless you buy expensive name brands, steak, pork chops sausage are tasteless. Chicken in the past 2 yrs or so is suddenly tough and rubbery. Milk is thin, same with half and half. Although a reprieve in that last: Land O Lakes has come out with a buttercream half and half that has restored my morning cup of coffee to what it was 40 yrs ago. The fact 5hat there is a market for half and half that tastes, well, like half and half tells you all you need to know.
I agree with all of these. I’m happy.

You guys not finding good chicken: really good chicken exists. I buy Mary’s organic, I believe the farm is in CA but I don’t know where all they sell. Grab some o’ them full legs (thigh and drumstick still together) and roast them. That is real old fashioned chicken flavor. Salt and pepper is ALL you need. There must be farms in your areas that do the same.
I can’t eat rotisserie chicken because it is full of msg. They shoot it into the raw flesh with the water they inject. That is why it has that boring yet addictive taste to it. Everyone “likes” it the way they like chips and crackers and soups. Also all flavored with msg.
Now balance that against 40 years ago, kids could play outside in the sun without fear of child molesters. If you lived outside the city, you needn’t lock your door at night. Drugs were a tiny fraction of the problem it is today.
Crime really did not pay. You went to school to learn. Men tipped their hats to ladies. You went to church to worship God, not make it a social gathering.
I know that you can never go back; but I sure enjoyed life my more back then.
All seven have made life better.
I wonder. I didn’t watch hockey as a child. I love it today. Can’t imagine it that much better.

GMO was not a threat to the very existance of life on Earth 40 years ago, but it certainly is today.
I have done some personal research, so it’s unofficial. The truth is probably that there was just as much child abuse back then, but it was not open. The kids didn’t admit it; the few who told were not believed. Uncle Joe would never do such a thing; he’s my brother! Etc.
There is no way the boys when they grew up would talk about their homosexual experiences. And the girls, now older women, do talk with other women today. MANY MANY older women were groped or molested as girls. Many did not understand what happened to them.
Molestation isn’t news. Parents actively trying to prevent it by supervision is what is happening. My own parents never had any idea an authority was molesting me. I thought it would make them upset and hurt and I wanted to spare them that.
