“The rich are screwing this country. I hate to say that. This is the sort of attitude I have despised my whole life. But something has gone very wrong here.”

Disloyal, destructive, subversive billionaires deserve the Putin Tax Plan - take away all their money and put them in jail !

A stunning 77% of elites and 89% of super elites support the “strict rationing of meat, gas, and electricity.”

Seventy-two percent and 81% would ban the use of gas-powered cars.

Fifty-five percent and 70% would prevent Americans from engaging in “non-essential” air travel.

Oh, and 47% and 55% believe the government affords Americans “too much freedom.”

I'd be interested to see the exact wording of those questions, but it does track with certain public utterances of certain members of this class, if that's even what it is. John Kerry, for example, considers that private air travel is in fact essential "for people like me". Not, of course, for people not "like me". You can't get much more elitist than that. Still, people with a silly amount of money they didn't earn tend to take silly positions. Mostly they can be ignored. If they try to enact these sentiments, they'd better hope they will be ignored.

It was the husband of the victim’s sister.

You guys, you guys you’re all the same. The doctors at the hospital, you. It’s always “What I’m gonna do for you.” If you screw up it’s “We did the best that we could for you. I’m terribly sorry.”

And people like us we live with your mistakes for the rest of our lives.

The problem is idle wealth, people with money who have no appreciation as to how wealth is earned.

Bill Gates and other billionaires and multi-millionaires were raised middle-class Americans and they created/built their financial position from the ground up. "The love of money is the root of all evil." I would add, "The lust for power is a root of evil."

The elites are out-of-touch because they live in a bubble and environment that serves them and perpetuates their power. In a word, self-interest aka 'elites-interest' is why they don't relate or care about the non-elites. Our revolution along with the French revolution are examples of elites not understanding that ignoring the interests of the people - will lead to revolution.

The sad thing (human nature) is that in time, elites in a society/nation that were removed or reformed, are eventually replaced by a group of other/different elites. In 1776, the elites were those serving and benefiting from King George. Our Bill of Rights was a rebuke of the British colonial system. Our nation has a new class of elites, which are the enemy of individual freedoms/rights. We are overdue for a revolution!

Their reality is not what most of the people experience. The common, everyday, experience of crime in the city, decay of infrastructure, and the massive immigration barely touches them.

Look at the total freak out from a few buses from Texas, bringing a small number of immigrants to their lily white enclaves.

Yet, they hold most of the power, money, and influence

One of the first thing that needs to be broken is the “legacy” admissions to the upper tier schools, combined with and absolute squashing of affirmative action at the bottom so that only middle class kids get in.
Exactly. Present elite admissions policies mirror urban governance that yields only rich and poor residents.

But WAIT! There’s more! They just don’t care what happens to us as a result of their actions becasue it does not impact them. They live in a different world and can even leave to their own little hide-aways. There will always be something for them and someone to provide it because they have the moeny ane power to get it.

I hate to say this, but it is a moral issue.

The Roosevelts, Carnegies, Rockefellers were not perfect, but they did have a very well cultivated concern for the good of the people.

They created universities, massive networks of libraries, hospitals and aid societies.

Modern day robber barons are just leftists whose dollars go to Cloward-Piven and anarchic activities only. Their aim is aggrandizement of the super wealthy class.

Not so their forbears.

The estate tax: Let people who earned their wealth enjoy it. But don’t pass it on to the slacker next generation.

Basically, we're back to the Robber Barons Era. There was a reason behind the "Progressive Era" reforms. Big Tech is the problem. Amazon. Microsoft. Apple. They get to buy newspapers and that allows them to control the narrative. Bezos bought the Washington Post not because he's a nice guy.

“living in ZIP codes where the population density exceeds 10,000 per square mile) “

Well, there’s a non-starter.

What-ever happened to 40 acres and a mule?
