If Democrat voters out-number Republican voters in California now, what difference does who's in the governor's mansion have to do with who the Democrats vote for in a Presidential election?

The Democrats that will cross over to vote for any Republican candidate are crossing over because Bustamante and his militant, MEChA minions scare them to death.

There are Democrats that don't want to be a Marxist/Socialist, satellite of the government of Mexico any more than Republicans do, but that won't stop them from voting for Hillary in the next Presidential election, if she runs.

This is just more flawed logic on the part of Arnold's (athletic) supporters.

Voting for Schwarzenegger may give is Hillary! At least two of Schwarzenegger's most important advisors are Hillary Backers. Richard Riordan backed Bill Clinton in '96 and told Rudy Giuliani in 2000 that he couldn't help his senate campaign because he was ``too close to the Clitons'' That is Schwarzenegger's closest political friend and chief issues advisor. Another big advisor to Schwarzenegger is Warren Buffet a big Hillary supporter. Schwarzenegger may endorse Hillary outright, or may back McCain to split Bush's vote.

Arnold says he is for domestic partnerships.

He claims to be against giving driver's licenses to illegal aliens, but he opposes the referendum to implement this.

He opposes the California Civil Rights Initiative.

He is for more state spending on after-school programs and other benefits for children and other groups.

He says that "children will have first claim on the Treasury."

He refuses to take the no-new-taxes pledge, saying he will raise taxes if there is an emergency. Experience shows that politicians who say they will only raise taxes in an emergency generally find an emergency.

He refuses to support repealing the car tax.

He said he was "embarrassed to be a Republican" during the Klintoon impeachment.

Does this cound like a conservative or a liberal to you?

If all the people who have said that they prefer Mcclintock but will vote for Schwarzenegger because "McClintock can't win" would simply vote for McClintock, he would have a chance to win. I am really tired of all the preemptive surrender that I see among my fellow conservatives.

You waste your vote when you don't vote for what you believe in. Why elect a Kennedy Republican when you can vote for a candidate who actually has conservative principles? Arnold does not have any that I can see.
