Former Runaways front-woman Cheri Currie has denounced the Democrat Party in a lengthy rant on X, admitting she had fallen for their “lies.” Best known as the lead vocalist for the 1970s teenage punk band, Currie embodied the anti-establishment mentality of that era, and had voted Democrat, until now. The punk-leaning Runaways had a brief, crash-and-burn history in the mid- to late '70s, and the upcoming film based on the story of the all-female band, which opens March 19 in Los Angeles, will present a Hollywood version of that history.</p>
