I have a postcard that I found in my collection which shows the World Trade Center at level with the US flag. My son couldn't look at the card for a long time because he found something eerie about it. If I knew how to put it up I would scan it and post it.

Nice way of putting it. So often people do not know of a person until after their death. It's nice to know who the person was and what their story was.

Another Catholic here - very strongly opposed to suicide.

This was not suicide in any sense of the word, it was merely choosing to die by falling instead of burning. And it may well have been involuntary - like flinching back from a hot stove, the drive to escape heat is overwhelming. (I used to be an arson investigator, and people will do ANYthing to escape burning, if not rendered unconscious by the smoke.)

Not suicide. I'm surprised that the priest of the family in the story didn't inform them of this and give them comfort.

Everytime I watch a movie that was filmed in NYC and the Twin Towers appear in the background, I get a similar eerie feeling.

Yes, I'm surprised, too. It never even occurred to me to think of it as suicide. I only brought it up because of the anxiety raised by the article.

As the ACLu and so-called 'do-gooders' come out of the woodwork to support these barbarians post 9/11, I would like to ask if anyone thinks that any of the 3000+ who lost their lives there would rather have had panties put over their heads? This world has finally gone totally insane.

The calendar that hung on the wall next to my computer on Sept 11, 2001 was a photo of WTC. I still have it.

i agree that the actions were not suicide, and i think the only reason that this enrages some is in that situation would they wait to die when the fire and smoke hits them or choose there own destiny, i have asked myself many times, i would have done the same, may everyone from that tragic day rest in the peace they deserve, and the many people linked to them remember the good in each and every one of them.iam from the uk and shock still hits me when i think back to such a tragic day, god bless them all.
