He got the go-ahead with his protests and unlawfulness, when the university and the NYC police decided to not act.

I’m curious how this works from a legal perspective. Students pay for room/board upfront. Wouldn’t that be some sort of implied tenancy involved? NYC has ridiculous tenancy laws that make it almost impossible to evict tenants on short notice. Or are universities exempt from these laws? What will happen to his “emotional support rabbit” lol.
