The Iraqi ambassador to the United Nations told a University of South Dakota audience Wednesday Oct. 22 that he came to tell the story that most Americans don’t hear about his homeland. “I believe the American people have the right to hear what is going on in Iraq from an Iraqi perspective. The authenticity of the statement could not be independently verified. The group said Muslims would be victorious and addressed the pope as "the worshipper of the cross"...

I call 'service' not only what lies in obedience to God's Word but what turns the mind of man, empty of its own carnal sense, wholly to the bidding of God's Spirit." - John Calvin, 'Institutes', III.vii.1 Psalms 23:1...

In a statement they said a future Iraqi government must be democratic, no leader must be imposed from outside, and the Baath party must be dissolved. As the meeting began, hundreds marched through the streets of nearby Nasiriyah protesting about US involvement in their country's future. They were concerned that the...

Twisted hulk is Saddam's testament By Tom Newton Dunn In Basra Scorched and bomb-blasted, it is one of the last pathetic defiant symbols of Saddam Hussein's sunken regime. The Iraqi tyrant's massive presidential yacht is still afloat, and drifting aimlessly with the tide on the Shatt-al-Arab waterway beside Basra's dockyards. Local bystanders counted 16 different bombs, shells and missiles - dropped from the air and fired from the ground - plough into it during the two-week siege of Iraq's second city. But no matter how hard the coalition tried, they still couldn't sink it. Nonetheless, the invaders' psychological point...

Our kids know America is doing a noble thing in Iraq. They know about brave PFC Lynch and her rescuers. About Coalition soldiers giving chocolate to Iraqi kids. About statues of Saddam Hussein being toppled. About water and food coming in by the ton to aid suffering Iraqis. We can't tell them everything because they are all under nine. How do you explain the hunt for a man like Chemical Ali, who gassed the Kurds? Or the discovery of a warehouse filled with human remains, where atrocities were committed and photographed for posterity? Or about a pregnant woman blowing herself...
