Englan & Scotland especially are always depicted as wet, "squishy" places.
Personally, I'd like to go to Scotland, though don't know how I'd manage.

LOL. Toured Scotland one October. Everywhere we went the B&B owners were apologizing for the cool, drizzly weather. We just them, "Hey, we're from Seattle -- it's just like home!"

Amazing. I was afraid I'd make it break down
any moment from my sleep deprived lunacy.
My brother says it actually makes sense, so
that's good. I'm happy.

I'm jealous. I love the Scottish
castles & depictions of the highlands.
I also enjoy the wise a$$ humor.

He's right ... it's good. Have a bath, some warm milk and a few calcium tablets, and go to sleep already!

That's the problem. Our tub isn't
big enough for a relaxing bath.
I already take calcium pills &
if I sleep now I'll be up all night
again. Warm milk makes me sick.

"65,535 (I think) - There's something in the programming of FR that won't let threads go longer than that."
Yepper!
You're right. I don't know all the whys and wherefores, but that's the limit.

It's because modern computers compute in binary, not decimal. And the posting number is contained in 16 bits (a common size).

65535 in binary is 1111111111111111. Trying to count higher is like trying to reach 10,000 (decimal) with only 4 digits. You just aren't going to get any higher than 9999.

Ugh...

Nyquil has something in it that makes my brain turn into gray lint for 24 hours after one dose

I don't know whether to envy anyone who can take it or not..

;)

Doing fine. Found Key West a bit on the warm side last night. Slept late this morning; the wife slept past noon. Now they've got "entertainment" outside -- steel drums (which I dislike) and little kids singing 60s stuff that well..

But in a little bit we'll head out to see what this place is like.

Hey kids...

Been having another one of those days.

If a dentist ever says they wanna "seal" one of your teeth with a UV cured composit sealer, and it happens to be on a molars grinding surface? Tell 'em to skip it and go straight to a filling. Had to go back in today, again, and have them fix it for good this time.

The good news is, they didn't charge me for the additional work at all.

But I still have a sore jaw from the jaw block and cut gums from the x-ray plates. Do they SHARPEN the edges of those things?

I hope you plan to take lots of photos!

(I always let other people take vacations to places I don't want to go, and then I can satisfy my curiosity by looking at photos...;) )
