Falwell's comments belong to him, Robertson's words belong to him.
My words belong to me.
Post 92 belongs to me as well, not Falwell, or Robertson; I am not yoked to them. So what say you?
....and let me add that you should thank your lucky stars that you live in a society where your views aren't an automatic death sentence. You don't get it, do you?
Well, what's the point of #92 in relation to this thread? Are you saying our enemies perceive us as weak because Mary Cheney is pregnant?
It's small piece of the overall puzzle. Please remember that drjimmy made the statement that I responded to.
Disingenuity will get you nowhere fast, that I promise.
I do indeed, and my family has prized that about this country for the nearly three hundred years we have been here. My views are not permitted to me by you; they're outside your control. And I'm by no means alone.
I have been here for some time, interested in conservative values in government containment and fiscal responsibility. I have never disguised the fact that most social conservative issues are not a reason to have Big Government. Sorry if that bothers you, and sorry if it bothers you that several people agree with me.
Rome had its patrician families. Not impressed.
My views are not permitted to me by you; they're outside your control. And I'm by no means alone.
That was precisely the point. You can live in your present state of denial, but America was founded on Judeo-Christian principles, and I have a feeling that is why your family has flourished for 300 years. I doubt Mohammed would be as kind.
I have been here for some time, interested in conservative values in government containment and fiscal responsibility.
Right.....but you conveniently leave out liberal mores as part of the package.
Sorry if that bothers you, and sorry if it bothers you that several people agree with me.
...oddly enough, the only thing I hear is crickets at the moment. I hope your friends haven't abandoned you.
I completely agree... but I can't figure out the seeming obsession of many Freepers w/ a woman who does not hold public office and who (so far) is not making a big public deal of the matter.
Let me ask you something, then. Since you're so unhappy about Ms. Cheney's decision, what do you propose should be done about it?
She is extremely selfish.
1: She will be bearing a child out of wedlock.
2: She will be raising a child in an unwholesome environment, with another woman. There will be no father figure.
3: She was likely responsible for destroying embryos.
Not to mention the anguish she is causing for her mother and father...
The only way this baby affects me is if they hit me up for a baby shower gift.
Nope, you're transparent, linda! Cheerleading for the homosexual agenda and any kind of moral relativity [sic] as usual, and then, as usual, waffling about it!
Carry on!
Don't say (sic), you spelled it right, Jeri! :)
Who has said anything about using gov't, Big or otherwise in this case?
Stop beating up strawmen.
My views are not permitted to me by you; they're outside your control.
We'd tell you the same thing. Don't we have the same right to expres our views, mainly that this is lamentable?
Certainly you can. :)
moral relativism is extremely lamentable.
Yes, the fact that homosexuals are also adopting and being foster parents and often given preference over normal married couples means squat. Nothing. Even though there is overwhelming evidence that children raised by homosexuals have many more problems (drugs, misbehavior, school problems, "gender identity" problems, promiscuity problems) than other kids.
Tne normalization of homosexuality, what to speak of its promotion, affects everyone who lives in such a culture. If you don't see that you are either singularly ill-informed and don't read up on FR, or think it's a good thing.
It doesn't include stoning; is that satisfactory?
You REALLY have your panties in a knot over (the fact that people consider the normalization of homosexuality not a good thing) this, don't you?
