Reports of people fainting. Welfare is bigger than the Beatles in Detroit.
My mom has a very old black and white picture from her childhood of people lined up for jobs and bread. By comparison these people have no idea how much better off they are now.
I did. I saw what looked to be one white guy - maybe, probably - in one photo. In case anyone missed him, he seems to be one of the few people there (besides the one cop - white - they showed) who wasn’t obese.
I’ll have a half full glass of water attitude about this. 45,000 of them went home empty handed.
“Decent” being a very relative term in this context.
What this is, is a huge indicator that the models of urban development proposed by democrats for three generations is not and has not worked. This is a replay of katrina. Scores of people living in areas that have been dominated by democrat politicians for forty years are still waiting for the next assistance program. What are these people going to do in the winter? They’re being mislead to believe that the guy in the suburbs should be taxed more so they’ll get more assistance, free homes, free gas, free cars, free food, free medical care when in fact the very government bureaucracies that promise these necessities are designed to feed themselves first.
The government will never be able to solve the problems and this proves that but we’ll never read or hear those words coming from a democrat politician, just more promises of more free stuff.
The median sale price of a home in Detroit is $11,000!!! Not to mention the countless abandoned properties anyone can squat in for free if they wanted to.
If you are homeless in Detroit, you are either insanely lazy, or just not intelligent or creative enough to think through a problem.

these people say they are poor and yet they’re extremely overweight.
how many will get the money and then go out to a McDonalds right away while buying booze, dope and a nice coach expensive bag like they did after katrina.
if they keep getting free money then they will never go and think about getting a job .
Instead they will drive their expensive car, but take food stamps and yes I have seen it many times and it makes me sick knowing where my hard earned money goes

Having worked in Downtown Cleveland, only one of two white girls in the department, I can tell you, not everyone is a leech.
And living in MI myself, I can tell you, I couldn’t sell my house if my life depended on it. It sucks here for everyone.

This is not “happening all over”. Americans have dignity, these people have NONE! They are not my countrymen, I feel nothing but contempt for them. They disgust me.

Or Hispanic or Asian, for that matter. You can’t say it, but there is something obvious in those pictures. It is the 800 lb gorilla in the room.
Now, now, now. About them being grossly obese......they’re FORCED to eat fast food day in and day out, all eight meals every day, because there is NOT ONE grocery store in the city of Detroit. That’s right. Every last supermarket has left. The very last Farmer Jack’s left several years ago. Reason? Duh. So their choices are fast food, convenience stores, or carjack someone to drive to a sto’ in the suburbs.
I suspect this is why Barry got a bump in his approval rating this week. Word is getting around the ‘hood that their Messiah is finally coming through with the Redistribution of Wealth.
I am sickened by most of the posts on this thread, and yours lifted my spirits.
This scene is the result of liberalism - in the city - in the state - and now running amok in the entire country.

Yeah- here's a clue: when they move planned parenthood into your neighborhood and encourage you to kill your own children- they are not your friend !
