Self-ping
What is a self ping?
That’s what I’d like to see happen.
I taught my homeschooler to break down, clean, lube and reassemble his ranch rifle. He’s going to do some physics on ballistics, trajectory, etc. He teaches himself this stuff because it’s interesting.
In response to your comment above, do you think public schools teach kids how to respond to thugs? The vast majority of “safe schools” will suspend anyone in a fight, regardless of who started it, or what it is about. They impound kids 8 hours a day in a gun free kill zone. They will expel kids who have a fluorescent orange 2” squirt gun. What does that teach them?
Before USMC, he took martial arts for several years, piano lessons (had the talent for scholarship but not the passion), plus regular group activities with other homeschoolers, both educational and social.
When it came time to get ready for college, he kept putting it off; finally he came to me and told me he wanted to join the Marines. I tried to talk him out of it. He said, “I have no direction, no goals and no discipline. (The last was a bit overstated, imo). College would be a waste of time and money.”
Best thing we got from homeschooling is a kind mature beyond his years.
Very good point. I really want a glock but my husband says I am too tough for such a sissy gun. ;)
My first is now 18 and just finished her first semester in college with three As and 2 A-minuses. No, she didn’t have AP classes in high school. She took real junior college classes instead.
There are exceptions to every rule, on both sides.
My kids went to public schools and the eldest is in OCS in Germany, learning
methods by which to kill terrorists and also that little German cars suck.
The younger wants to be a cop.
Niether is looking for a carreer putting condoms on a banana.
Stereotypes are lies.
Then why did you stereotype all homeschoolers in your first post on this thread? Are you admitting that you are a liar?
They don’t teach martial arts in public schools either (must be a coddling self-esteem thing).
I taught Kali and Escrima for 20 years and am passing it on to the kids. A missed block is a good teacher. Instant knowledge.
BTW, I carry a Sig :o)
So are the ones you put forth about homeschoolers.
Thanks for admitting that you are lying.
GMTA
Sig is a good gun. I need something small for concealed carry. Any suggestions?
As a response to the assumption that homeschool kids are better than mine.
You slam me, I slam you. Simple.
LOL. My eldest owns a new Beemer. She married wisely. Fortunately, they also own a Sequoia in the event they need to drive in the snow.
OCS! Thanks for your service to our republic, humble jr.
Nobody said they were better. They were addressing the comments of the women in the article. Me thinks you are projecting.
I like H&K Compaq 9mm (for concealing). Great gun. I really like the Springfield 1911 .45 and Sig .357 otherwise, but I digress.
