I remember something about Obama bragging about his uncle and saying that he liberated Auschwitz—apparently unaware that that was a part of Europe where the Red Army drove the Germans out. His uncle may have been present when one of the concentration camps in Germany proper was liberated (as one of the US troops, not one of the German guards).
