Constitution Day Came and Went...No Sarah
Self | 9-17-11 | Self

Constitution Day has come and gone. No sign of Sarah. Frustrated? Yep, I am. Dissappointed? Yep, I am. Do I have a clue what she'll do? Nope. I'm starting to doubt, though, that she'll run. I'm starting to think she's holding out for Perry's VP slot, but pounding on him may not sit well...but Bachman seems to be doing that well herself and deflecting blame. I don't know, I'm flustered a bit. Thanks for listening out there in Freepland. What say or predict you?

You idiot, I’m a Palin supporter. Look through my posting history and ask around.
You’re acting like a fifth grade bully, and if this thread wasn’t in the Smokey Backroom, you would probably be on a forced hiatus.
You’re making the rest of us look bad. Knock it off.

“She can’t win, and she knows it. Her unfavorables are too high in key swing states.”

Yet, Obama polls nearly the same against Palin as he does against Perry (47 vs 46). I might also add that there is only a few points difference with all of the current Republican candidates. This is after the left, the Republican establishment, the entertainment industry, and the so called “news” media has spend three years trying everything in their power to destroy her. Who among the Republican field can withstand those kinds of attacks; and make no mistake, whoever finally gets the nomination will ultimately get the Sarah Palin treatment. As for me, I will go with the person who has been able to withstand the attacks and still maintain a clear lead when it comes to support for their views. Rasmussen did a poll that asked, who’s view is closer to your own, Barack Obama or Sarah Palin? Obama got 40 % to Palin’s 52% - and this was before Obama’s poll numbers crashed. PPP released a poll from North Carolina just a week or two ago, a state that Obama won easily in 2008 - again, Palin polls well, leading among independents by 14 points. The polls will take care of themselves for Palin but whether any of the other candidates can withstand the attacks is still an open question.

The situation as it is is that she will announce her decision on running when she is ready, not when Freepers want her to.

Of course. I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you though.

Then we can vote for her or not.

True enough.

Personally I don’t need Dem talking points to help me decide.

And what "talking points" would those be? If you think I'm the one providing them, please be specific.

You may believe she will be ‘trounced’ and you are entitled to do so.

Yes, I know that.

Fact is that she has 13 months to turn any negatives around and she has not started yet.

Come on now...it's the height of naivete to think that negatives get "turned around". Well-known candidates rarely if ever make significant inroads into voters who hold a negative opinion of them. The electorate knows Palin, they've made up their mind about her, and their opinions are more firmly entrenched than any other candidate. Like it or not, those are the facts.

“why then would she have stopped 1/2 way through her gubernatorial term ...”

This meme by the concern crowd has gotten very stale. If one doesn't know the reason she resigned, then said one knows nothing whatsoever about Sarah Palin. Or, they have a entirely different agenda at play.

>>Your posting history is one big troll. Everyone should read it.<<

Yes, because it disagrees with you.

You and your ilk are pretty amusing. And you can accuse me of whatever you want. My analysis and opinion are as valid as your. And since my analysis is based on reality and not feelings it is, in fact, more valid.

RE: Thoughts?

Yup. She pisses me off. When the country needs a strong unequivocal, decisive champion, she is apparently simply playing games. Getting her jollies on the speculation.

I’m moving on. I have no time for that BS.

Wasn’t the Big Giant Head a character from a sitcom?

William Shatner in "Third Rock From The Sun."

Thanks for letting me get into your mind if only long enough to make you think you’re superior for only a moment.

Bullies are who I detest, and who get my most explosive responces’.

My mind is free to support whom ever I like, and I choose Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin -— She isn’t running and I don’t blame her. She has been savaged by the liberal media and they have done a good job at caricaturing her as a dumb hick thus driving Palin’s polling negatives sky high. The liberal media go into a frenzy over strong Republican women who are anti-abortion and who have has lots of children and raised lots of children. Palin and Bachman make the dried up urban prunes who have aborted, who have zero children or just one or two...it makes them go batshit crazy with envy and hatred. Their “men”, such as they are, also despise these more rural and Christian big family Republican women and have lots of clever jokes about it

More deep thoughts... Palin could not be in a better position right now. Sure, she has to jump in at some point, but for now she can snipe from afar at her most likely competition while the announced candidates atrit themselves. If she does become President she will make a formiable Commander in Chief should multi-theater war break out. She thinks strategically, and from my perspective she is doing quite nicely. Can someone point to a single mistake she has made in recent memory? I can’t.

Exactly, those are considered drop dead dates. She can do it her way....kinda like Rudy did. We all saw where that got him. So I’d say the first week in October to meet those drop dead dates. There is a lot of leg work to be done along with fees before you hit the final date to be eligible for the first primary.

You have the most hilarious screen name! Wasn’t the Big Giant Head a character from a sitcom?

It's actually my official hat size. It says right on the tag "BIG GIANT HEAD".

The longer she waits the less time they have to vilify her. We’ll see.

They've been vilifying her for 3 years. They've read her e-mails and assaulted her children, including her disabled toddler. What more could they possibly do to vilify her further?

My own opinion is that she's a person with a tremendous sense of duty and that it is that sense that will push her to sacrifice many things and step up to the plate. She has me squarely in her corner through 31 October, 2011. If she doesn't announce on either 31 Oct. or 1 Nov., I'll start to become nervous, but I'll keep the faith, take a cue from President Reagan and stay optimistic.

Come on yourself. You don’t realize that “Negatives” has been an anti-Palin talking point since 08?

The ‘height of naivete’ is thinking candidates cannot turn negatives. Tell it to Reagan, Clinton and a thousand more.
