Well, that’s a pretty funny way to twist the hypothetical onto its head. I doubt you’ll get him to respond, though.
BRAVO! but it won’t help since the OP is batsh*t crazy and I mean that.
Helen Thomas, now that is one nasty thought but if one does do that then it will show how strong ones conviction is.
The animosity and division I'm seeing here lately has me a bit dismayed, I'm seeing too many enemies being made here rather the good honest debate.
I hope you are well!
We are today witnessing the attempt to mainstream the notion that a man can marry another man. Is polygamy next?
***Yup, then man-boy-love, then bestiality, then fire&brimstone.
A few weeks ago when Rahm Emanuel and Thomas Menino announced they would try to obstruct Chick-fil-A from opening stores in Chicago and Boston, I like most of you, went absolutely berserk.
How could mayors of two major cities in the land of “Free Speech” possibly think they could interfere with a man like Dan Cathy’s business because he dared to speak his opinion? It made no sense. It was an affront to all things decent about this country.
Those basic tenants- Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion all of them- are what truly makes this country unique.
In the last few days, I have become obsessed with what I view as a total affront to Freedom of Religion in a couple of threads here on Free Republic. Mainly this one.
I don’t care what you believe about their doctrine, the people of the Mormon faith are peaceful and law-abiding. Therefore, I have no problem with them. They do not use their religion as a weapon and I have never felt as if they persecuted anyone- certainly not Jews.
As I have stated several times, I have always been a fan of Free Republic and Jim. I have made many “online friends” here and have followed the site for years- not only as a place to voice my opinion(s) but as a learning source and even a source for real, accurate news.
In the last few days, I have been very disheartened. I have felt sad for the Mormon members of this site and what it feels like for them to see their faith so maligned. I know that experience, and it isn’t fun.
While I don’t want to sever my ties with my many friends here, I cannot in good conscience stay on the site until perhaps this has had time to die down.
I have found another site, www.gopbriefingroom.com where conservatives will not be persecuted because of their religious beliefs and will hang out there for the time.
I will check in from time to time and hope that this- like other things that only serve to divide us, will pass and that reason will prevail.
Jim- you have always been one of my heroes.

You said Goode and Hoefling did not qualify as ‘anyone’. Because they didn’t meet your qualifications. Go back to the original post I was pinged to.
Dred Scott was used to get your attention. It certainly succeeded in that purpose. That is another example of a case where people were determined to be, in this case, three-fifths of ‘anyone’, because they didn’t meet predetermined qualifications.
ABOs have a distressing habit of trying to dance and trying to pick the partners. They tell me that my third-party vote is really a vote for Obama, but their vote for Romney really isn’t a vote for Romney. Now you come along telling me that “anybody but Obama” really isn’t ANYBODY — including two people running for President who are a damnsight more conservative than Mitt Romney.
Point being: you don’t get to choose ‘anyone’.
So report me and get me zotted asshole.
You aren't in the accelerated reading group, are you?
I think the answer to that is probably, but I don’t know what age, so could be dementia. Definitely OCD. Check past posts:

Point to it.
These fanatics are sick. I thought those at DU were cracked, but geez! This thread takes the cake
I asked you to copy-and-paste my own words, and not to distort what I said. And, just as I expected, you did not copy-and-paste a single word of mine, and instead distorted what I said.
Well, let's see: executive order "repeal" / "waiver" is a horrible idea. Why?
Well, it's not a "repeal" in any sense, but a non-enforcement; this means that it can just as arbitrarily be rescinded and the states forced into supporting the mess.
As for "waivers" that idea is so repugnant and obviously-bad that I don't see how anyone could consider it a good thing. Like the above they can be arbitrarily rescinded, but even worse it is a defacto ceding of state's powers/sovereignty to the office of the President; that is a good idea to no-one except a statist.
