Skip to comments.Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.
But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.
And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.
And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.
That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.
Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.
And then you pull out a line of Scripture rather than FINISH the one I posted. Was that because you realized that taking all 5 verses of Scripture within the context of my original post doesn't support your own hypocrisy? Matthew 7:
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. Mk. 4.24 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
Duncan Hunter wasn’t a serious candidate, he was retiring and wanted the publicity to keep his 28 year congressional seat in the family, his son, Duncan Hunter naturally won, beating the Navy SEAL that might have been a threat, and Duncan senior has not been heard from since.
I live in their district and always vote Hunter.
Pissant creepily worshiped Duncan Hunter as a sort of father figure or something, and did not understand that he was a good congressman, but he was never going to be a Governor, or a Senator, or a President, and especially not the year that he was retiring from politics for good, and not looking to start another career.
For them to have truly hurt me, I would have to have some degree of sentiment invested in them and I assure you, there is none.
I told the story of my father to simply explain how I came to believe the things I do. I was taught.
I wont share too many details about my past here, mainly because of the group of folks who seem obsessed with picking apart everything or everyone they disagree with. My mother escaped with me and my siblings to the United States where we lived with family and for years, did not know my fathers fate.
Raised to believe the United States was where we would be safe, I believe it to this day.
Dont take their attacks on me or Jews too personally. They are limited by their lack of education, narrow-mindedness and hatred, whether they realize it or not.
Thank you again.
I get my hackles up over injustice and cruelty. That's why I defended you. It's good to know you are tough enough to take care of that yourself. I imagine that's why your father survived.
The number of good people here far exceeds the number of mean ones. I'm essentially a sensitive individual and perhaps too idealistic for this world. I'll finish this post with a couple of my favorite quotes:
"Write injuries in sand, kindnesses in marble." [French Proverb]
"Great leaders are those who inspire greatness in others." [Anonymous, possibly Confucius paraphrased]
"In spite of everything, I still believe that people are good at heart." [Anne Frank]
"Let it roll off your back like water off a duck." [My Father]
You’re much worse than that.
Actually, it’s called discernment. When you post ugliness, hatred, vitriol, and worse, you don’t deserve to think of yourselves as even worthy of being an apprentice of either Paul or Peter.
Your behavior more exemplifies the father of lies.
Because you refuse to follow Christ's teaching.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.Romans 2
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
1 You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.
2 Now we know that Gods judgment against those who do such things is based on truth.
3 So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape Gods judgment?
4 Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that Gods kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?
The first time I visited Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, was 1988...
before that I was too poor to go...
I saved for years to visit “the Bible land”...
Always for me it was “next year, Jerusalem”...
You’re a good egg, arasina. :)
To ansel12 "You owe an apology to anyone who read your snotty little bigoted posts. I cannot believe they have been allowed to stand. Your posts are unconscionable. You disgust me and so does Free Republic."
Yes, of course, you are too good, too pure and humble for the world, sweetness walks among us, we are graced with your gentle presence and gracious speech.
A genuine embarrassment to conservatism.
she didnt win ...
she wasnt sincere enough when the great Chocolate Pumpkin rose from his where ever...
Go take a running leap at yourself.
Do you not understand how someone can recognize when a person is being cruel to another and yet still be too idealistic, ansel?
Please don't waste your time on me. I won't respond to further posts from you as I'm obviously too ignorant to comprehend your gentle guidance anyway. You have much bigger "fish" to fry.
She didnt turn blue and she didnt blow up so that may have been what happened to her...
LOL, what a silly post, you are going to be embarrassed when you read that tomorrow.
What part of “this is a Conservative site” don’t they understand?
The thing I admire most after his military service is Jim’s sticking to his principles. I love that, and wild horses couldn’t drag me away from Free Republic.
